Earlier this week, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas revealed that Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) conceals her actual position on issues such as gun control in order to get elected. McCaskill is now demanding that state Attorney General Josh Hawley open an investigation into O'Keefe's investigative journalism, charging that Project Veritas engaged in "fraud" under Missouri's Merchandising Practices Act.

James O'Keefe's Project Veritas caught incumbent Missouri Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill expressing her strict gun control views, which she usually conceals in order to court moderate voters. To make matters worse, the Project Veritas journalist caught staffers on tape admitting that McCaskill hides her real views on guns in order to receive votes. She will not publicly support Moms Demand Action or court President Barack Obama to campaign for her because both could be toxic for her campaign.

A new election model from a conservative polling group has Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley ahead of incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill, 53 to 47 percent. From The Washington Free Beacon:
The model, created by WPA Intelligence and shared with the Washington Free Beacon, was based on predictive data available for each of Missouri's 4,101,062 registered voters and found Hawley to have a six-point advantage over McCaskill, 53 to 47 percent. The model uses available consumer data, voter history, and demographic information to assign each voter with a predictive score.

The Missouri Senate race has garnered since President Donald Trump won the state by more than 18 points in 2016. Polls have shown that McCaskill faces a tough race against state Attorney General Josh Hawley, who more than likely will be her GOP opponent. Politico thinks McCaskill can slide on through re-election thanks to the scandals that surround Missouri Republican Governor Eric Greitens. But it looks like the publication could be reaching.

We all knew this would happen after failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton bashed those who did not vote her. She said that women who did not vote for her did so because a man told them not to. Now, Hillary's blame game is coming back to haunt incumbents like Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), who is considered one of the more vulnerable Democrats up for re-election.

Trump's Twitter activity sucks the oxygen out of almost all other news. So much so that nemesis Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill getting caught in another lie about never meeting the Russian Ambassador flew mostly under the media radar. Back in March 2017, when Russia-mania was in full fury, Claire McCaskill attacked Jeff Sessions for allegedly (but not in reality) answering a confirmation hearing question inaccurately concerning meetings with the Russian Ambassador. The confusing compound question to Sessions focused on meeting the Ambassador as a campaign surrogate, which Sessions denied doing.

Wednesday, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs held a hearing called "Ideology and Terror: Understanding the Tools, Tactics, and Techniques of Violent Extremism." There were four witnesses who testified before the panel. Two women, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Research Fellow, Hoover Institution Stanford University. Hirsi Ali is a survivor of Female Genital Mutilation. Asra Nomani, Co-Founder Muslim Reform Movement, was a reporter for the Wall Street Journal when her colleague Danny Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by jihadists in Pakistan in 2002. And two men, John Lenczowski, Ph.D., President Institute of World Politics and The Honorable Michael E. Leiter, Former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

I keep thinking one of these days, politicians will remember the internet exists, and along with it, evidence of almost about everything they've said or done while in office (and often outside of the office, too -- just ask David Wu). Alas... As the Trump cabinet targeting continues, Sen. Claire McCaskill stepped in a huge pile by claiming she never had a meeting or call with a Russian ambassador. Recently confirmed Attorney General and former Senator Jeff Sessions became the target of what appear to be trumped-up charges that he lied about his involvement with Russia during confirmation hearings. The political media set, along with federally elected Democrats are having a heyday, demanding Sessions resign.
