Tuesday was a big day for the American court system, as the Paul Manafort trial concluded with verdicts and Trump's personal attorney plead guilty to an assortment of charges that are still being analyzed. While the media focused on the legal drama on the East Coast, a Congressman from the Southern California area and his wife were indicted on campaign finance charges and fraud.

The Cook Political Report has moved three House GOP seats to Toss Up from Lean Republican after new polling came out. Another race slipped a little, moving to Lean Republican from Likely Republican. While it may not seem like a big deal, we know the Democrats want the House back and any momentum the Republicans lose, you know the Democrats will jump on the opportunity.

Last week, I blogged that U.S. Senator Feinstein had a "driver" who turned out to be a Chinese spy who reported back to government officials about local politics. While she endeavored to minimize the impact of this individual to her work, The Daily Caller did some digging and it turns out he was substantially more involved with her office than chauffeuring California's Senior US Senator to events.
All the details of a former, longtime Sen. Dianne Feinstein staffer who’s accused of relaying information to Chinese intelligence services while working for the California Democrat point to Russell Lowe, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has determined.

Should Republican congressional candidate Elizabeth Heng win California's 16th district seat this November, I might suggest she send the social justice brigade in charge of monitoring Facebook videos a big "Thank You." The social media giant's video team blocked one of her ads, but changed their mind once they received backlash.

The most Hollywood thing to have happened has happened in West Hollywood. The municipalities five-member city council approved a proposal to remove Trump's star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They claim vandalism and demonstrations are the reason behind their decision. And also Trumps "treatment of women and his views on climate change." Oh yes, and there's also the "decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, a ban on transgender military officers and the separation of families at the U.S. border with Mexico, among reasons for the removal." Basically, everything.

The wildfires are still raging in California, and six people are reported dead and at least 19 are missing. Tragically, the dead include a great-grandmother who was trying the save the lives of her two great-grandchildren. They were killed in the blaze that is burning near Redding, which has been named the Carr Fire.
The bodies of Melody Bledsoe, 70, and her great-grandchildren, James Robert, 5, and Emily Roberts, 4, were recovered from Bledsoe's home in Redding, relatives said.

San Francisco has a public hygiene crisis of epic proportions, but city officials would rather focus on crappy laws instead of excrement-covered streets. It is so bad that San Francisco's new mayor London Breed recently told a local NBC affiliate that she's never seen as much human feces piled on the sidewalks as she did during a recent stroll through the city.
