Thursday I blogged about a demand letter (included beneath) sent to the city of Palm Beach and to the Secret Service, claiming Trump cannot legally claim Mar-a-Lago as his post-presidency residence. The story was widely reported by the Washington Post. I'm sure you'll be shocked to know that the WaPo just happened to leave out that the woman presumably behind the demand letter is also claiming that Mar-a-Lago's security system is injuring her brain.

New York Times Admits Massive Failure With Its ‘Caliphate’ Podcast

The New York Times 2018 podcast Caliphate gained traction after it featured Shehroze Chaudhry, a Canadian who claimed to take part in Islamic State executions among other things. The 12-part podcast won a Pulitzer Prize. Now it has all fallen apart after Canadian and American intelligence officials determined Chaudhry, who used the name Abu Huzayfah, lied about everything. The Times admitted massive failure on their part from the top of the publication.

The newly declassified texts from disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok show the agency began investigating President Donald Trump before they opened Crossfire Hurricane. Another set of texts show that the FBI spied on a call between an executive at Fox News and former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos.

Supreme Court kicks can down the road on Trump Census plan to exclude illegal aliens from House apportionment

The U.S. Supreme Court (6-3) has dismissed a challenge to a Trump administration plan to exclude counting illegal aliens in the part of the Census count for congressional redistricting purposes. One of the grounds for dismissal was, wait for it, lack of standing.

Fifty-four percent of registered voters pay no taxes in New York City, according to a new study by Liberty Tree of America. This means that taxpayers who paying the highest taxes in the nation have no effective voice in governance. This toxic structural bias against taxpayers has resulted in an outright revolt that will result in a calamity unless steps are taken immediately to restore taxpayer confidence.

To begin with, ???. Anyway, according to the WaPo, Trump's Mar-a-Lago neighbors filed a demand letter, which was delivered to the city of Palm Beach as well as the Secret Service, citing an agreement Trump signed in the 90s. They allege that because the location is now a club it cannot also be a private residence. The letter was filed by the DeMoss family who runs an international missionary foundation (I will not comment on their occupation and actions here).

Moderna’s COVID-19 Vaccine Rated ‘Highly Effective,’ Clearing Final Hurdle for FDA Emergency Use Authorization

The second promising coronavirus vaccine from Moderna has tested 94 percent effective at preventing symptomatic illness and appears to prevent the spread of the virus as well. It looks like all systems are go for FDA "emergency use" approval by the end of the week.

The high efficacy of the Moderna vaccine was noted after two doses given 28 days apart. This is about the same level of effectiveness as the Pfizer vaccine.

French Court Convicts 14 Accomplices to Charlie Hebdo, Jewish Supermarket Attacks

A Paris court has convicted all 14 suspects charged with involvement in the 2015 Islamic terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine and a Jewish supermarket. The defendants, accomplices of the terrorists who carried out those attacks, received between 30 to 4-year sentences.
