Now that Donald Trump has acquired the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination, he still has another hurdle to clear. Some conservatives are still saying #NeverTrump and Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard is still pushing for another candidate. FOX News reported:
Trump slams 'spoiler' bid after Kristol says independent candidate to run Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday night to slam fresh predictions from Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol that an independent candidate would soon be entering the race for president, warning that a 2016 “spoiler” could swing the race to the Democrats.

Amid the cries of #NeverTrump on the right, some conservatives are saying they'll vote Libertarian in 2016. Even conservative pundit Mary Matalin has endorsed Libertarian candidate Austin Petersen. The favorite to win the nomination however, is former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson who made big news last week by selecting former Massachusetts Governor William Weld as his running mate. Having two successful Republican governors on the Libertarian ticket raised expectations in political media circles and the duo was immediately labeled a Libertarian dream ticket, yet a funny thing happened on the way to the nomination.

The socialist paradise of Venezuela is falling apart as panicked citizens suffer through shortages of food, toilet paper, electricity and other necessities. Bernie Sanders was recently interviewed on Univision and the host asked Bernie for his thoughts on the situation. Once again, leave it to someone in foreign media to ask a question no one in American journalism has thought to ask. Sanders clearly didn't like where the interview was going. NewsBusters reported:
Bernie Hits Bump on Univision: Speechless on Socialism’s Failures The Democrats’ socialist candidate for President of the United States, Bernie Sanders, was seriously tripped up this week in an interview with Univision’s León Krauze.

If you've been watching Twitter for the last few days, you may have seen an ad floating around which features a bearded hipster asking if you're man enough to vote for Hillary. Unfortunately, the ad is fake. The Hill reports:
‘Man enough to vote for Hillary’ ad is fake An ad that asks voters whether they're "man enough" to vote for Hillary Clinton is not from Clinton's campaign, Jezebel reported Thursday. The ad — featuring the slogan “I am man enough to vote for a woman … Are you?” — has been shared on Twitter with the hashtag #ManEnough4Hillary. It also features one of the Democratic presidential candidate’s slogans, “I’m with her.”

Last fall, Yale sent out an email which encouraged students to show sensitivity in their choice of Halloween costumes. Erika Christakis, Associate Master of Silliman College responded to the email by reminding students of the importance of free expression. Her husband Nicholas Christakis, Master of Silliman College, defended his wife's email. My colleague Fuzzy Slippers covered the story at the time. Angry Yale students confronted Nicholas Christakis on campus and screamed at him, demanding that Yale must make them feel comfortable and safe on campus.

Massachusetts Senator and progressive darling Elizabeth Warren has been very vocal in her criticisms of Donald Trump lately. Her latest line of attack was to accuse Trump of being an insecure money grubber. CBS News reported:
Elizabeth Warren trashes Trump as a "small, insecure money-grubber" Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, trashed Donald Trump Tuesday night, calling him a "small, insecure money-grubber" in light of his recently resurfaced comments where he "hoped" for a housing market crash.

Former Vice President Al Gore hasn't picked a horse in the 2016 race which wouldn't seem like a big deal if it weren't for the fact that he served with Hillary's husband for eight years. The New York Post reports:
Al Gore still won’t support Hillary Clinton Despite renewed pleas from Hillary Clinton’s desperate team that he endorse the former first lady, Al Gore on Monday again declined to support the Democratic front-runner.

Cleta Mitchell is a conservative activist who has been very vocal about the IRS scandal which involved the targeting of conservative Tea Party groups in the run-up to the 2012 election. She recently appeared on C-Span and an alleged IRS employee called into the show and explained to her that he would target these groups because they want to abolish the IRS. Ali Meyer reported at the Washington Free Beacon:
IRS Employee Admits He Would Go After, Target, and Try to End Conservative Groups A self-identified IRS employee admitted he would go after, target and try to end conservative groups who wanted to abolish the IRS, to Cleta Mitchell, an attorney representing those groups, on a Washington Journal segment on C-SPAN.

Bernie Sanders and his legion of loyal supporters do not like DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. That's been a well established fact for months but things just got real. During an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Bernie Sanders announced support for Wasserman Schultz's primary opponent, Tim Canova and said she'd be stripped of her position if he was president. Ryan Lovelace of the Washington Examiner reports:
Sanders backs Wasserman Schultz's primary opponent In a stinging rebuke to Democratic leaders hoping to unite the Party, Sen. Bernie Sanders said Saturday he wants Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to lose to her primary opponent in Florida. A loss could effectively end her chairmanship of the DNC. Asked by CNN whether he prefers Wasserman Schultz or her primary opponent, Tim Canova, Sanders left no doubt about his desire to see the DNC chair defeated.

We recently reported that some law professors of the American Law Institute wanted to expand the concept of sexual consent in a way which would make it easier to define people as criminals. The proposals were outrageous and would have put people at risk of being legally guilty of rape even if their partners consented. Proponents of the changes were largely left wing professors who undoubtedly agree with the progressive concept of rape culture. The good news is that the institute rejected the proposal. Bradford Richardson of the Washington Times:
American Law Institute rejects affirmative consent standard in defining sexual assault In a rebuke to a feminist idea that has migrated from college campuses to mainstream culture, an influential legal group overwhelmingly rejected Tuesday a provision that would have endorsed an “affirmative consent” standard for the purpose of defining sexual assault.

The new film "Hillary's America" is opening this summer right before the Democratic convention and so is a documentary called "Clinton Cash" which has an obvious focus. The New York Post provides an overview:
First look at explosive Hillary documentary, ‘Clinton Cash’ Hillary Clinton says that when she and her husband moved out of the White House 15 years ago, they were “dead broke.” Today, they’re worth more than $150 million. In the new documentary “Clinton Cash,” it becomes all too clear how the former first couple went from rags to filthy rich — with the emphasis on filthy.

The liberal MSM is quickly losing patience with the Bernie Sanders campaign for reasons which are fairly obvious. First, Bernie is starting to affect Hillary Clinton's ability to pivot to the general election, a problem that's already hurting her in polls. Second, rather than getting in line behind Hillary, his supporters are becoming increasingly aggressive as we saw in the mayhem of the recent Nevada Democratic Convention. Liberals in media had no problem with Bernie Sanders supporters disrupting Trump events, but now that it's affecting Hillary it's a big problem.

If the video below is indicative of a nationwide trend, Hillary Clinton has a serious problem with college aged voters in the upcoming election. Campus Reform visited George Washington University and asked students how they felt about the Democratic front runner and not only do they not seem to like her, they don't trust her. The reactions of young women were particularly interesting:
VIDEO: Millennials reject ‘woman card,’ say they don’t trust Hillary Millennials just don’t trust Hillary Clinton, and they’re sick of being told they should support her simply because she’s a woman.

After watching the segment below, all I can say is that if you want to see an interview that's heavy on policy, look elsewhere. This was more Barbara Walters than FOX News Sunday. That's not to say it isn't interesting or worth watching, because it is. "Megyn Kelly Presents" airs on the FOX Broadcast Network and not the FOX News Channel and this makes sense for reasons which are apparent. Kelly is obviously trying to expand her reach and kicking off this effort by interviewing Trump is brilliant from a ratings perspective. The first six minutes of the segment recalls the rocky relationship between Kelly and Trump starting with the first GOP debate on FOX News in August of last year using clips from FNC and other news outlets.
