A makeshift memorial to the dead in Brussels has taken shape in recent days as people have left flowers, candles, flags and other items to mourn the loss of the victims. Two recent incidents however have marred the memorial, both involving the flag of Israel. Here's the first, via the New York Post:
Woman in hijab rips up Israeli flag at Brussels memorial Video emerged Thursday of a hijab-wearing woman tearing up an Israeli flag at a makeshift memorial for victims of the Brussels terror attacks.

University of Missouri student Mark Schierbecker was one of the student journalists on the scene when former Mizzou professor Melissa Click famously called for some muscle. Yesterday, he published a story with additional details at the College Fix. It seems Click had a second incident with a student reporter that day, a charge she initially denied. Here's part of Schierbecker's report:
VIDEO: Mizzou’s Melissa Click grabbed another journalist’s camera at racial protest Instructed protesters ‘Do not talk to the press’ The University of Missouri communication professor who was fired this month for her role in fighting with student journalists at a racial protest in November has denied her actions then represented a pattern.

A writer for the Huffington Post named La Sha has found an upside to the story of the American college student being imprisoned in North Korea. He's finally been stripped of his white male privilege. I wish I could say this is parody, but it isn't:
North Korea Proves Your White Male Privilege Is Not Universal “That’s what the hell he gets. Good for him!” My mother had uttered those words in her typical matter-of-fact tone one morning as she watched the news. “He” was Michael Fay, an 18-year-old from Ohio who had confessed to vandalizing cars in Singapore, and was subsequently sentence to six lashes from a rattan cane. I was in sixth grade and all I could imagine was how horrible the pain would be. My mother was unmoved at the thought, remarking, “He earned that.”

Professor Jacobson recently wrote about how Donald Trump's rise is driving countless people into the offices of mental health professionals. The latest example of Trump induced psychosis is unfolding at Emory University where students were horrified this week to find someone took a piece of chalk and wrote pro-Trump messages on campus sidewalks. The horror! Rather than simply ignoring this like any normal person would do, certain activists within the student body are demanding that the university president denounce this message of hate. Yes, really. The Emory Wheel reports:

At a campaign event in Washington State yesterday, the former president encouraged the audience to support his wife's candidacy while bashing the "awful legacy of the last eight years." Is Bill Clinton's advanced age catching up to him? The American Mirror reported:
VIDEO: Bill Clinton slams ‘awful legacy of last 8 years’ Bill Clinton is either losing it, or he’s ramping up his attacks on President Obama. Neither is good news for Hillary Clinton.

If you've ever wondered what could make an American join the terror group ISIS, we can now confirm one reason is plain old-fashioned stupidity. Mohamad Khweis of Virginia doesn't seem to know what he was getting himself into. Mark Zapotosky reports at the Washington Post:
American ISIS fighter captured by Kurds: ‘I found it hard’ The 26-year-old Virginia man who was taken into custody in Iraq after he purportedly deserted the Islamic State told a Kurdish TV station Thursday that he decided to escape after he grew dissatisfied during intensive religious training in Mosul.

While speaking to Hillary supporters in Salt Lake City this week, Chelsea Clinton was asked by an attendee if her mother would extend Obamacare benefits to people in the country illegally. Naturally, she said yes. Thomas Lifson of the American Thinker:
Chelsea Clinton reveals her mom thinks it is ‘important’ to extend Obamacare to illegal aliens So any family that can ante-up plane fare for the kids and one or more parent to JFK, Miami, Los Angeles or any other international terminal, or that can sneak across the border, is here to stay, once Hillary becomes president. And in addition to all the other goodies this country bestows upon people with low incomes, now the $600k a year former NBC correspondent Chelsea Clinton has declared that Obamacare will be extended to illegals.

Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren blatantly dodged simple questions from CBS News reporters this week who wanted to know why she hasn't endorsed a Democratic candidate and if she believed Hillary Clinton should release the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs. Could she be angling for the position of Hillary's VP? Inquiring minds want to know. Nick Gass of Politico has the details:
Warren won't say whether Clinton should release Goldman Sachs transcripts Sen. Elizabeth Warren declined multiple opportunities on Thursday to say whether Hillary Clinton should release the transcripts of her paid speeches to Goldman Sachs and other financial institutions.

In a move symbolic of the nation's rejection of Communism and the Soviet era, Ukraine has removed one of the last large statues of Vladimir Lenin from public view. The Guardian reported:
Ukraine topples biggest remaining Lenin statue It took two days and a giant crane, but Ukraine has finally managed to lift its biggest remaining statue of the Soviet founder Lenin off its pedestal and consign it to the dustbin of history.

Dr. Ben Carson is no longer running for president but he's had a rough couple of days in the spotlight due to his support for Donald Trump. First, Carson was grilled by a reporter for standing by Trump who at one point in recent months compared Carson to a child molester. Carson's response was baffling.

It's amazing to see a politician who urged his supporters to argue with others and get in their faces, who told people to vote for revenge and whose party called Republicans hostage takers and terrorists suddenly concerned about political rhetoric. The Associated Press reports:
Obama Dismayed by Vulgarity, Violence of Campaign President Barack Obama said Tuesday he was dismayed by "vulgar and divisive rhetoric" directed at women and minorities as well as the violence that has occurred in the 2016 presidential campaign, a swipe at Republican front-runner Donald Trump that also served as a challenge to other political leaders to speak out and set a better example.

Hillary Clinton is apparently planning to continue President Obama's war on coal if elected. She said as much at a CNN town hall event on Sunday night. The Daily Wire reports:
Hillary Pledges To Put Coal Miners Out Of Business Promising to kill the coal industry and its jobs via regulation and taxation if elected President, Hillary Clinton called for economic revitalization via the creation of an industry for “clean renewable energy" as a substitute. Speaking at the CNN-hosted Democratic town hall event in Columbus, Ohio, Clinton sanctioned the narrative of anthropogenic global warming in calling for the cessation of consumption of fossil fuels.

Mitt Romney has entered the next phase of his stop Trump crusade and will campaign with Ohio governor John Kasich in the state Monday. NBC News reported:
Mitt Romney to Campaign with John Kasich in Ohio Mitt Romney will campaign with John Kasich Monday at two stops in Ohio, NBC News has learned from a source familiar with the plans. Romney is not expected to endorse the Ohio governor during the campaign swing, the source said, but it will be the first time Romney has campaigned on behalf of a Republican candidate this cycle.

Bernie Sanders draws a major amount of his support from Millennials to whom he just so happens to promise free college and a host of other goodies. His plan to win in Ohio next Tuesday relies on bringing out the youth vote, so why wouldn't he want some seventeen year-olds to vote in the primary? He actually sued the state of Ohio for this and won. Politico reports:
Sanders wins: Ohio judge rules 17-year-olds can vote on election day Sen. Bernie Sanders notched a potentially significant win on Friday evening when an Ohio judge issued an order, allowing 17-year-old voters to participate in the state's presidential primary on Tuesday.
