Donald Trump has branded Joe Biden as "Sleepy Joe." That came as something of a surprise to me, as I expected "Creepy Joe," based on Biden's well-publicized creepy invasions of female personal spaces. But who am I to second-guess Trump when it comes to branding political opponents. Every time I see Jeb Bush, I still think "Low Energy Jeb." And "Crazy Bernie" just seems to fit so well I barely remember his last name. "Crooked Hillary" did the trick.

Remember when everyone on the left gushed over Michael Wolff's book Fire and Fury about President Donald Trump's White House even after he admitted it has parts that are not true? Well, Wolff wrote another book called Siege: Trump Under Fire, which The Guardian obtained. Wolff claimed Special Counsel Robert Mueller "drew up an indictment of Trump that named three counts of obstruction of justice." Mueller's spokesman immediately shot down Wolff's claims.

The Supreme Court upheld an Indiana law that required a burial or cremation of an aborted human being, but decided to provide an unsigned opinion on the portion of the law that bans abortion based on sex, race, and disability. Vice President Mike Pence signed the bill into law in 2016 when he served as governor of Indiana. Justice Clarence Thomas issued an opinion in support of the Indiana law on abortion restrictions due to eugenics using abortion as a form of eugenics on minorities.

The private organization We Build the Wall began construction on a border wall in El Paso over the weekend. The group has raised over $20 million on GoFundMe. Former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach told Fox & Friends the group aimed to build the wall near Mount Cristo Rey to fill a "ridiculously large gap" in that section. He claimed that "drug and human smugglers have been taking advantage of it."

After celebrating the win of the "Australia First" Liberal Party, and cheering on the milkshake-covered Brexit candidates in Great Britain, it pleases me greatly to report that anti-EU parties made significant gains in Sunday’s European election. After processing the results, I have several essential takeaways. Perhaps the most significant that the win for the anti-EU parties is a hard loss for the centrists who want to run the entire world from Brussels.

President Donald Trump went after former Vice President Joe Biden, the front runner in the 2020 Democratic primary, for his role in the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act. Biden wrote the bill when he served as a senator from Delaware and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Trump may have a point because the law eventually fell out of favor with people on both sides since "critics said it caused prison populations to swell and resulted in the mass incarceration of African Americans on drug charges." You know what's weird? Publications said the exact same thing about Hillary Clinton in 2016 since President Bill Clinton signed the bill into law.

If you followed the Democratic primary process in 2016, you probably recall the schism that emerged between the establishment wing of the party, which backed Hillary Clinton, and the insurgent progressive wing that supported Bernie Sanders. In 2020, we could witness a replay of this same scenario.

We may have entered the next phase of social media evolution, in which the networks will have to change to meet the needs of the American market or dies. One company has had enough of Facebook. CrossFit, the popular fitness and lifestyle program, terminated its relationship with Facebook and Instagram, citing security and privacy concerns.

The 8th Army Airforce

Of all the branches of the military, the Army Airforce had an especially dangerous job. Leaving aside even the common flight risks of mid-air collisions and frostbite from flying in non-pressurized aircraft five miles in the air, the 8th Army Airforce dealt with unique horrors. Over Germany, B-17 bombers couldn't be accompanied by escort fighters due to a lack of fuel range, leaving them particularly vulnerable to Luftwaffe raids during their bombing runs near the targets. Even when they weren't being raided they were subject to constant anti-aircraft bombardment from 88mm howitzers that shredded the planes.
