Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order to end Common Core standards in the schools. From WPTV:
"One of things we would constantly hear about on the campaign trail is frustration from parents with Common Core and the testing," said Gov. DeSantis at a news conference at Ida S. Baker High School in Cape Coral.

There is a growing recognition that the so-called Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel is just a new form of the oldest hate, antisemitism. We have documented here many times how BDS has a direct connection to the anti-Jewish boycotts in the 1920s and 1930s in the then British Mandate for Palestine, the anti-Jewish boycott of the Arab League (which was put in place three years prior to Israeli's independence), and the gross antisemitic activism at the 2001 Tehran and Durban conferences which launched boycotts in the current form.

We have been following the developments related to Canada's arrest of China’s Huawei Technologies Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou, who faces extradition to the United States on suspicion she violated U.S. trade sanctions against Iran. The Department of Justice officially unsealed charges against the tech giant, the executive, and several subsidiaries, alleging the company stole trade secrets and misled banks about its business...as well as violating U.S. sanctions.

There was a huge outcry in conservative media over the past couple of days regarding a deal allegedly being worked out with liberal Democrat Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, as to nominees to fill vacancies. We covered the issue in Trump has opportunity to flip the 9th Circuit, so why isn’t he?  Rush Limbaugh covered it today, linking to our post.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) came under a lot of heat during her CNN townhall when she said she wanted to eliminate private health insurance. Despite the backlash she received for her comments, Harris's press secretary Ian Sams attempted to clarify that she still believes in Medicare-for-All, which would also eliminate private insurance... political doublespeak at its finest.

The news cycle has been overwhelmed with chilling stories of the Midwest being colder than the continent of Antarctica this week.
On Wednesday, Chicago will be colder than parts of Antarctica, Alaska and the North Pole. The Windy City's "high" temperature on Wednesday should be around 10 below zero, while the overnight low Wednesday night into Thursday morning is forecast to be in the 25-below range, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.
