Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager have partnered to make a documentary film about political correctness and the danger it presents to comedy and free speech, particularly on college campuses. The film is called "No Safe Spaces" and will be released this fall.

Readers are familiar with the IRS targeting of Tea Party and conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. But there has been another targeting story percolating through the court system that has received little attention, until now.

Friday, the now highly anticipated intelligence memo was declassified and made public. Mary covered that in detail here. The memo, "alleges that the FBI did in fact use the disputed dossier to receive FISA warrants to spy on members of then-candidate Donald Trump’s team," blogs Mary. For all the hoopla, speculation, an entire week of gossipy leaks and story wars, the memo (or the version of the memo made public Friday) is mostly meh. Without supporting evidence or more information, the memo is just another facet of the ongoing FBI/Russian Collusion/Who Dunnit saga plaguing politics, and as Mary pointed out, creates more questions than it answers.

On January 13, we covered the reports that a false alert about a ballistic missile headed toward Hawaii was sent to cellphones there, urging people to seek immediate shelter. There were many troubling consequences as a result of that alert being issued, including parents placing their small children in sewers with potentially hazardous conditions.

Social justice activism is usually associated with higher education. We have documented the campus antics of social justice warriors countless times. But what would happen if you started training children from grades K to 12 to become SJWs? One school system in Minnesota is doing just that, and the results are not good.

U.S. District Judge Mark E. Walker in Tallahassee has ruled that Florida's process for restoring voting rights to convicted felons violates both the First and Fourteenth Amendments. The implications of the ruling, however, may not be so far-reaching since the judge hasn't yet decided on a specific remedy. The Order (pdf.) is embedded at the bottom of this post.

Politifact, the site that pretends to be a non-biased, non-partisan fact checker, really stepped in it Thursday. In an attempt to bolster credibility, Politifact brought on a Republican and a Democrat to "critique" their work and "improve the trust and credibility." They selected former Florida Congressman Alan Grayson to be their Democrat representative.

Last October, Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured hundreds more when he opened fire on a concert crowd in Las Vegas, a city with cameras everywhere. However, we know almost nothing about this case and it's about to get worse. Clark County Nevada Coroner John Fudenberg has refused to obey a court order and release Paddock's autopsy.

Thursday, the Penn Board of Trustees along with the university's president published a letter to the Penn Community announcing their decision to revoke the honorary degree previously awarded to Steve Wynn, a former Penn Trustee and College alumnus. The university will also remove Wynn's name from Wynn Commons as well as a scholarship fund he created. The decision was unanimous. Wynn resigned from his post as RNC Finance Chair after allegations of sexual harassment.
