In April, a Starbucks store manager called the cops on two black men who attempted to use the store restroom but had not purchased anything. They claimed they were waiting to meet with a real estate investor. Black Lives Matters got involved, the store manager was stripped of title and rank, either voluntarily or otherwise, and Starbucks went into Virtue Signal DEFCON 1.

The leftstream media went into full meltdown mode Friday after President Trump tweeted that he was looking forward to the jobs report. With the speed of the ace reporters of yore leaping into action when an actual story breaks, they all leaped to their keyboards and tapped out stories about how Trump "broke protocol," may have broken a federal rule, may be guilty of insider trading or "worse," was "indiscreet with confidential information," and on. And on.

Iran has been trying to acquire foreign technology to build nuclear weapons, German intelligence reveals. Tehran has been targeting Germany's technology sector to get hold of tech in order to upgrade its weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program, a report published by the intelligence agency of the German state of Baden-Württemberg indicates. The southwestern German state is home to several leading global technology and engineering companies.

One would think the Democratic legislature of New Jersey would be eager to pass a tax hike on millionaires now that the state has a Democratic governor. After all, they passed the hike five times during the tenure of Republican Chris Christie even though they knew he would veto it. Gov. Phil Murphy has proposed "$1.7 billion in new taxes and other revenue to pay for public schools, public-employee pensions and other priorities." His fellow Democrats have "balked" at this idea along with a rise in sales tax.

Ireland has long been seen as a bastion of the Catholic Church, but its May 25 vote to end national ban on abortion is evidence that the nation is taking a secular turn. Interestingly, Pope Francis was silent during the campaigns on this matter and will not visit Ireland. I suspect that this lack of action is at least partly driven by the fact that progressives are on the opposite side of this issue. It would take a saint to endure the social justice scolding that would have ensued if Pope Francis interjected the Catholic religion into this matter.

Thursday, Sen. Marco Rubio addressed The King's Academy's senior class at its graduation ceremony, encouraging the 142 members of the Class of 2018 to rebel against our current culture. Rubio paraphrased the typical commencement address, most of which are full of shallow, self-serving platitudes, reflective of today's extremely secular, cruel culture.

Friday, North Korean officials met with President Trump at the White House. After the meeting, Trump announced the previously canceled summit, originally scheduled for June 12 in Singapore, was back on. "We'll be meeting on June 12 in Singapore," said Trump.

The hits keep coming at the Broward Sheriff office after the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. The Miami Herald has reported that paramedics begged the office to enter the school to save the wounded, but the captain at the scene said no:
Michael McNally, deputy chief for Coral Springs fire-rescue, asked six times for permission to send in specialized teams of police officers and paramedics, according to an incident report he filed after the Feb. 14 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that left 17 people dead.
