The UN General Assembly is meeting this morning on a resolution that, without mentioning the U.S. by name, condemns Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and plan to relocate the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem at some future point. The resolution also demands a return to the so-called 1967 lines (which actually are the 1949 Armistice lines), which would put the main Jewish holy sites and the Jewish Quarter in the hands of Palestinians. General Assembly Resolutions are not binding under UN Rules and do not create international law. U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley, backed up by Donald Trump, has promised that the U.S. and Trump take this vote personally, and will be "taking names," as detailed in our prior post, Nikki Haley: “US will be taking names” during General Assembly vote on Jerusalem Embassy move.

Dave Lange of the IsraellyCool website coined the nickname "Shirley Temper" for Ahed Tamimi, of the Tamimi Clan of Nabi Saleh. While the nickname is humorous, the underlying reality of the video exploitation of Palestinian children by the Tamimi Clan, lauded by Western anti-Israel activists, is not funny at all. As we have thoroughly documented over the years, the Tamimis, led by father Bassem Tamimi, regularly send children to try to provoke a confrontation with Israeli police and soldiers in order to get a reaction that will be captured on video and in photos.

Federal Judge Gloria Navarro declared a mistrial in the case against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who is accused of leading a standoff against the government in 2014. The trial includes his sons Ryan and Ammon and Montana militia leader Ryan Payne. Navarro "tentatively set a new trial date for February" and said that the prosecutors "willfully withheld critical and 'potentially exculpatory" evidence from the defense."

Just breaking, Al Franken's office has announced that his previously announced resignation will be effective January 2, 2018. The snowball started rolling downhill for Franken when he was accused of groping and non-consensually tongue-kissing a woman on USO tour, as detailed in our post News Anchor accuses Al Franken of non-consensual kissing, groping in 2006. The photo of the grope went viral, and will be the lasting image of Franken.

UPDATE: Judges in Virginia have accepted a challenge to one ballot, so now it's a tie: https://twitter.com/wavy10matt/status/943561365406568448 Prior coverage: A recount over a seat in the Virginia state legislature has handed a win to Democrat Shelly Simonds by a single vote. Last week, the Republican David Yancey had a 10 vote lead.

The House of Representatives has passed the tax reform bill again sincethe Senate stripped two provisions in the bill because it violated Senate rules and removed the title of the bill. The Senate passed the revised bill late last night, 51-48, and sent it back to the House. The House passed the revised bill 224-201. Now the bill heads to President Donald Trump.

The last time we checked on WhiteHouse.gov, social justice warriors across the country were in a snit because the Trump administration had archived the progressive content posted by its predecessor. The official White House website has now gotten a complete facelift that promises to save American taxpayers as much $3 million annually.

The Palestinians, true to form, have decided to try to internationalize their dispute with Donald Trump over Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. A resolution in the Security Council contained diplomatic wording that did not mention the U.S. by name, but was the equivalent of demanding the U.S. reverse its decision. The U.S. vetoed the resolution, in a 14-1 vote, with US Ambassador Nikki Haley issuing this warning:
