During the 2008 election, Democrats foamed at the mouth if you suggested Obama was a socialist. Then the 2016 election happened and with it the candidacy of Bernie Sanders. The mask was finally off as nearly half the Democratic Party rallied around an admitted socialist. Things would never be the same.

While the Liberal media has been busy trashing the Trump presidency, President Emmanuel Macron’s popularity in France has been in a free fall. Just three months into the presidency, Macron’s poll numbers have hit a historic low, plummeting 50 percent since he took office in May. France’s Ifop polling agency writes, “Apart from Jacques Chirac in July 1995, a newly elected president has never seen his popularity rate falling as quickly during the summer after the election." As the Washington Examiner correctly pointed out, "Trump is more popular than French favourite Macron." “The thing about Emmanuel Macron is that, in the end, everyone gives way to the charm,” wrote the BBC in the run-up to the French election. "The guy could seduce an office chair," claimed the broadcaster, quoting some 'anonymous source' -- perhaps an office chair. As it, however, turns out, that “irresistible charm”, as BBC like to put it, isn’t working on the French public anymore.

Why wasn't Bill Clinton believed back in the 1990s? Could it have had anything to do with that time he looked into the camera, wagged his finger at the American people, and told them, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky?" Nope. That wasn't it. People didn't believe honest ol' Bill because of "polarization . . . just because of the party." That was the view expressed on CNN this morning by network commentator Errol Louis. His comment came during a discussion of President Trump's latest poll ratings on credibility.

While the American press focused on a supposed Russia-Trump connection, the new head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently reminded the country about a real domestic disaster caused by the Obama Administration: The Animas River Spill. Scott Pruitt visited the Animas River site last week, where over 3 million gallons of acidic, heavy-metal-laden waste water was accidentally released into the environment, and had some harsh words for Team Obama.
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt marked the two-year anniversary of the Gold King Mine disaster in Colorado on Friday by pointing out how the Obama administration erred in causing the massive 3 million gallons toxic spill.

Over the weekend, radio host, TV host, and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch faced immense backlash over an NRA ad that she taped months ago. Journalists claimed that she said fist, which has a sexual connotation for some, instead of fisk The New York Times for lies and misinformation. Loesch appeared on "The Story" on Fox News to discuss the abuse she faced and couldn't understand why everyone would get so upset over her wanting to fact check The Times.

Former Vice President Al Gore managed to stay in the limelight with his climate change crusade after he failed to beat former President George W. Bush in 2000. In 2007, his movie An Inconvenient Truth won an Oscar and Gore won an Noble Peace Prize. Gore decided to make a sequel, An Inconvenient Truth: Truth to Power, but it bombed big time this weekend. It finished 15th and only took in $900,000.

Jeff Sessions, in what so far is the defining event of the Trump administration, recused himself from involvement in the investigation of Russian meddling in the election because of a potential conflict. That recusal set in motion a series of steps that eventually led to the appointment by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, of Robert Mueller as Special Counsel. Americans love their pets. In fact, we spend over $60 billion on them annually. Furthermore, many social justice warriors who seemingly despise their fellow humans will often be found protesting on behalf of animals. Progressives who love animals and truly believe in climate change may have trouble fully embracing the assertions of a UCLA professor who says our pets are contributing to global warming.
In a study released Wednesday, a geography professor at UCLA calculated that the meat-based food Americans’ dogs and cats eat – and the waste those pets produce – generate the equivalent of about 64 million tons of carbon dioxide a year.

While his city is spiraling out of control, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice over threats to cut funding to sanctuary cities. The Chicago Tribune reported:
“Chicago will not let our police officers become political pawns in a debate,” Emanuel said. “Chicago will not let our residents have their fundamental rights isolated and violated. And Chicago will never relinquish our status as a welcoming city.”

The student government at the University of Frankfurt has condemned the anti-Israel boycott campaign as antisemitic, by unanimously passing a resolution last week. The university, also referred to as the Goethe University, joins the Leipzig University, which passed a similar resolution last year that rejected the BDS activism creeping onto German campuses. Taking the fight to the anti-Israel camp, the student body called for a boycott of the anti-Israel boycotters on the campus.

Two conservative groups, Judicial Watch and the American Center for Law and Justice, have been doing the hard work the mainstream media refuses to do to investigate the infamous tarmac meeting between then Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the husband of a subject of FBI Investigation, Bill Clinton. The tarmac meeting was not initially disclosed by either Lynch or Clinton.
