The protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline took another disturbing turn, as demonstrators blocked the entrance of a local mall on Black Friday.
More than 30 activists protesting plans to run an oil pipeline beneath a lake near a North Dakota Indian reservation were arrested on Friday at a retail mall during a rally timed to coincide with the busiest shopping day of the year. The demonstrators, including members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, walked into the Kirkwood Mall in downtown Bismarck and formed a prayer circle just inside the entrance, defying demands by mall management that they leave the premises.

The prof wrote about Green Party candidate Jill Stein filing for a recount in Wisconsin, and the clamoring calls from Hillary supporters for electors to change their votes have not diminished since she lost the presidential election to President-elect Trump. Team Hillary's top lawyer, Marc Elias of Perkins Coie LLP, says that the Hillary campaign WILL PARTICIPATE in the recount efforts even though they have found NO EVIDENCE of hacking or other interference with the election process.

Fidel Castro, darling of the left, brutal dictator in reality, died overnight. The reactions, needless today, have varied. In Little Havana in Miami, there was dancing in the street. In the real Havana, celebrating his death would likely result in a lengthy prison sentence, so no dancing for them. In the left-wing political circles, there was praise for this communist revolutionary. In the U.S. media, it was like -- let's remember he instituted free health care! Here are some reactions:

Lawrence Lessing, professor at Harvard Law School, wants the Electors in the Electoral College to go rogue and vote for Clinton regardless of the election results the led to the Electors ability to vote.
Conventional wisdom tells us that the electoral college requires that the person who lost the popular vote this year must nonetheless become our president. That view is an insult to our framers. It is compelled by nothing in our Constitution. It should be rejected by anyone with any understanding of our democratic traditions  — most important, the electors themselves.... In this election, the people did not go crazy. The winner, by far, of the popular vote is the most qualified candidate for president in more than a generation. Like her or not, no elector could have a good-faith reason to vote against her because of her qualifications. Choosing her is thus plainly within the bounds of a reasonable judgment by the people.

If this is the best that the Hillary/Stein camp can muster to justify a recount, Donald Trump can rest very easy tonight . . . On Tucker Carlson's new Fox News show this evening, guest host Ed Henry interviewed Ian Jackson of the Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party regarding a possible recount of the presidential vote in Wisconsin. Green Party candidate Jill Stein campaign has in recent days raised millions of dollars to fund such an effort. The responses from Jackson—who seemed a nice guy in over his head—were a string of painful pauses and hesitations, concluding with an admission that the Stein campaign would have to consider refunding money to donors.

The internet went crazy this morning after a report surfaced that Boston's CNN channel aired 30 minutes of hardcore porn. Media took off with it, but I have to admit that the details appeared sketchy because how does a major cable provider like RCN unknowingly air 30 seconds let alone 30 MINUTES of hardcore porn? Looks like they didn't:
"We are in the process of researching this incident but see no evidence our CNN network feed was compromised last evening in Boston," Jeff Carlson, svp and general manager, RCN Boston, said in a statement to THR.
The account @solikearose has protected her tweets, but she shared pictures of her TV to BuzzFeed News to prove that she did not fake this story. Turns out a glitch may have caused it.

The United Kingdom has become Big Brother. The government passed the Investigatory Powers Bill, which means internet providers must provide the asking government agency with a citizen's internet browsing history. The bill provides that power with these agencies, a few may raise eyebrows:

Politico's national editor Michael Hirsh has resigned after he pushed for attacks on white supremacist leader Richard Spencer and published Spencer's address. Spencer's group National Policy Institute recently held a gathering in DC with people posting pictures of themselves doing the Nazi salute. Spencer and his small minded group hold despicable viewpoints, but let's use our brain here. No one, especially a member of the media, should ever publish a person's private address. We should never advocate for violence against anyone no matter how disgusting we find them.
