There they go again. The Democrat media just can't seem to help themselves when it comes to President Trump.  Too many this weekend jumped on a #FakeNews story that was debunked a year ago about Trump calling illegal aliens and asylum seekers "animals." Stacey wrote about Democrat and 2020 presidential hopeful Robert "Beto" O'Rourke's casual lie about Trump calling all illegal aliens "animals."  The president, of course, said no such thing and was clearly referring to the violent criminal gang MS-13.

On Friday, Mary wrote about Rep. Ilhan Omar's Obama-bashing interview with Politico. In this interview, Omar told Politico's Tim Alberta that, among other things, Obama's hope and change was a "mirage" and that he got away with the "caging of kids" and with "murder" because he was "polished." Upon publication of the piece and the Democrat horror that she had attacked Obama, whom 49% of Democrats think was the best president since WWII, Omar went on the offensive.

On Friday night Donald Trump tweeted a really funny satirical video created by Twitter user @CarpeDonktum. The video (see below) used the REM song "Everybody Hurts" mixed with Trump's State of the Union speech audio to mock Democrats and Mitt Romney, with video clips of them in the audience at SOTU. The Trump tweet quickly gained almost 50,000 retweets and over 2,000,000 views.

There were more than a thousand left-stream media layoffs earlier this week.  The cuts took place across the spectrum of left-stream media and included cuts at HuffPo, BuzzFeed, Yahoo News, among others. The finger-pointing has thus far been aimed at Facebook and Twitter, but wounded leftstream media warriors are irked by a reminder of their own callous response to massive Obama-era coal industry job losses.

Fox News has reported that freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) received a book deal worth $250,000 that will detail her move to America to Congress. However, the book deal announcement comes at a time when Omar has come under fire from numerous people over her controversial comments about Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Israel, and the Covington Catholic students.

Remember that viral video of a kid supposedly taunting a Native American Vietnam vet? Yeah, it didn't take long for people to realize there was more to the story. Well, since the media and everyone else went on a rampage against him, the student identified himself as Nick Sandmann, a junior from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. He attended the March for Life rally with other students. Sandmann explained his side of the story as those in Hollywood and the media quietly delete their nasty and hateful tweets aimed at the high school kid.

The internet blew up over a (as it turns out) heavily-edited clip of white male Catholic March for Life high schoolers apparently taunting, mocking, and otherwise behaving badly toward a Native American elder.  Even many on the right condemned the MAGA hat-wearing boys for their perceived vile behavior. The problem?  We didn't get the whole story, and many people, including those on the left, are now expressing their regret at jumping too readily to condemn these boys.  As it turns out and in the true spirit of "unexpectedly," there is much more to this story than we were first treated to in the initial reports.
