On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough argued that the MSM is failing to cover the story of the Obama admin "unmasking"and leaking the names of Trump campaign people caught up in the intercepts of Russians. According to Scarborough, 95% of the story is the attempt by the Russians to influence the election. But that still leaves the 5% that the MSM is ignoring because the people unmasked were disliked, and in the case of Michael Flynn, "loathed" by the media. In contrast, said Scarborough, the improper activity was "by people who, let's face it, most of the people in the media like and admire."

The Times of Israel reported that the Isreali-American teen arrested for the recent bomb threats against Jewish institutions in America made similar bomb threats at institutions across the world for two years. From Ynet:
According to Chief Superintendant Meir Ohayon of the Israel Police's cyber unit, New Zealand police requested assistance in tracing the source of the calls last September. After getting the relevant details and conducting a preliminary investigation, Israel Police informed their counterparts from New Zealand that they believed that source of the calls was Israel. "At that point, the hunt for the Israeli 'hacker' who drove the world crazy was on," said Ohayon.

Israeli authorities, cooperating with the FBI, have arrested a Jewish Israeli-American teenager for the majority of bomb threats phoned into Jewish Community Centers in the U.S. and around the world. Those bomb threats led to widespread condemnation of Donald Trump from liberal groups for allegedly fomenting a wave of anti-Semitism. The JCC threats became a hammer used to beat Trump over the head for political purposes unrelated to fighting real anti-Semitism, which most frequently nowadays comes from the Leftist-Islamist coalition opposed to Israel's existence. When Trump allegedly suggested that the threats might come from people trying to make him look bad, he was accused of suggesting the JCC threats were "false flag" operations. While the exact words he allegedly used never have been clear, the suggestion was met with howls of condemnation from liberal Jewish groups.

Did the Trump White House use the House intel committee chairman to divert attention from the committee's investigation into possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russians? That's what Joe Scarborough suggested on today's Morning Joe.  Scarborough said that his reporting suggests that the White House "shoved" committee chairman Devin Nunes in front of the cameras to reveal that communications of President Trump and associates may have been intercepted after the election by intelligence agencies conducting surveillance of foreign targets. Scarborough: "it just looked like, and sounded like from some reporting I did yesterday, that you had the White House desperate to do anything to change headlines this morning, because, again, from the reporting I did yesterday, talking to people in the White House, they were so desperate to change the narrative that it looks like they shoved him out with this information—just any information, anything—to change the headlines. And to blow up the investigation in the House. And it looks like that's exactly what they did."

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson received massive backlash when the media reported he planned to skip a formal NATO meeting on April 5-6, but kept his Moscow trip in mid-April. A Secretary of State has only missed a formal meeting twice in the past 21 years. However, the media has buried the fact that Tillerson planned to skip the meeting because he scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jingping in Florida with President Donald Trump on April 6-7. They also casually mention that he will travel to a G7 meeting in Italy between his weekend with Xi and the trip to Russia.

While some of the elite Hollywood types complain about President Donald Trump's victory, others have come to embrace it and let it humble them a little. I reported about how it opened actress Jennifer Garner's eyes, but it also opened designer Tom Ford's eyes:
“Oddly, it made me want to come back even more,” Ford told Women’s Wear Daily, which reported that the designer recently bought a house in Los Angeles. “We have a tremendous number of people in this country who feel disenfranchised and clearly we are not relating to or speaking to them. I am at my core American, and it made me want to come back. It didn’t make me want to run away.”

The internet exploded this week with the "news" that President Trump's budget proposal included cutting and/or completely eliminating the Meals on Wheels program.  The headlines were outrageous clickbait that had little to do with the actual budget proposal. For example, New York Magazine has an article entitled, "White House Says Cutting Meals on Wheels is 'Compassionate'," Rolling Stone has one entitled "Meals on Wheels Seniors Respond to Trump: Cut Something Else," the BBC writes that "Meals on Wheels cut back prompts backlash," and Slate declares that "Trump's budget director says Meals on Wheels sounds great but doesn't work." The problem with these and the many other such headlines is that Trump is not cutting, and is certainly not eliminating, Meals on Wheels.

Rachel Maddow's big SCOOP on Donald Trump's tax return turned into an embarrassing flop, with mockery coming at her from all directions, Rachel Maddow’s career committed suicide live on national TV tonight. Maddow did the unthinkable -- bringing together pro-Trump and anti-Trump together in horror at the horrendous clickbait. What was key was how Maddow herself build up the expectations with a pre-show tweet:

The McDonald's Twitter account created waves in the social media world Thursday morning with a tweet insulting President Trump. The tweet was published at 6AM and the alleged hacker even pinned it to the account, meaning it appeared at the very top of the account's Twitter page. McDonald's has deleted the tweet and claims their Twitter account was compromised.

Appearing on this evening's Hardball, David Johnston, who received part of Donald Trump's leaked 2005 tax return, said "I suspect" that Trump leaked "pornographic" photos of Melania to the New York Post.
DAVID JOHNSTON: At first I thought Donald might have leaked it [the tax return], but his reaction in turning what could have been for him a terrific story about himself, he's managed to squander by his reaction to this, so clearly he didn't leak. When Donald leaks things, he doesn't complain about them. He didn't complain about the pictures of his wife, the pornographic pictures that were published in the New York Post. He didn't complain about the three pages of state tax returns that got out last year. And I suspect both of those came from him.

Over the course of the last 2 months, the alt-left and their media minions have done nothing but rage against President Donald Trump. As a result, grass-roots leftists are now channeling their anger into verbally assaulting Trump's staff and destroying his property. Additionally, they are posting their atrocious behavior on social media.

You might think that—given the chance to chide the star of a competing network—CNN would have called out MSNBC's Rachel Maddow over her failed, overhyped "scoop" on Donald Trump's taxes. But nary a discouraging word about Maddow could be heard on CNN this morning.  Liberal media solidarity more important than beating the competition? Instead, commenting this morning on the release of Donald Trump's 2005 tax return, CNN's Chris Cuomo described the Alternative Minimum Tax [AMT] he paid as a "benefit" to Trump. It was just the opposite. The AMT Alternative Minimum Tax is designed to prevent people with large incomes from using deductions to reduce their tax liability beyond a certain amount. No matter how little a taxpayer would normally pay, the AMT imposes a higher minimum.

Rachel Maddow has a history of claiming big scoops which then flop. There was the debunked 2012 big scoop about supposed GOP wrongdoing in Michigan. And the 2014 big scoop that the Koch Brothers were behind Florida groups pushing drug testing for welfare recipients, which was not true. President Donald Trump's promises to overhaul regulations and the tax codes along with positive sale outlooks have raised optimism among U.S. CEOs. The Business Roundtable conducted its CEO Economic Outlook Index, "a measure of expectations for revenue, capital spending and employment," found that the optimism jumped to 93.3. That's a jump of 19.1 points and the most since 2009.
