Democrats were eager to seize upon the events at the Capitol on January 6th as their Reichstag moment in order to clamp down on "domestic terrorism," to militarize DC by keeping the National Guard in DC despite there being absolutely no reason for them to be there, and to use as a political weapon against duly-elected Congressional Republicans.

As the Biden administration settles into its open borders policies, even the media is starting to notice that conditions are not good for those, particularly children, crammed into substandard facilities, often with no Wuhan coronavirus testing or social distancing, masking measures. The CDC even "bent" its rules on COVID so that Biden could place as many illegals into detention facilities as possible.

Democrats and their media cohorts are furiously trying to spin out their Capitol riots Reichstag moment by hyping lunatic conspiracy theories as if they have any basis in reality.  The goal is two-fold: demonize Republicans, particularly Trump supporters, and create a climate of fear in order to justify a new war on "domestic terror."

Over the last four years, countless anti-Trump stories in the news relied on anonymous sources. The term 'according to sources' has become a punchline, and people in media are the only ones who don't get the joke. They used this dishonest tactic to push the debunked Steele dossier, the Russia collusion lie, and more. Now they are doing the same thing with the Capitol story.

The tragic death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick in the aftermath of the Capitol riots triggered frenzied reporting from mainstream media outlets like the New York Times, which reported on January 8th that Sicknick died "from injuries in pro-Trump rampage." Though the Times updated its report, it initially reported that "At some point in the chaos ... [Sicknick] was struck with a fire extinguisher, according to two law enforcement officials."
