Elizabeth Warren was too cowardly to endorse a candidate during the 2016 Democratic primary but now that Hillary has safely crossed the finish line and Bernie's revolution is fading in the rear view mirror, Warren is going all in for Clinton. Elizabeth Warren's endorsement of Hillary Clinton proves she is a fraud. This is not a matter of opinion, this is fact. Donald Trump may be a wealthy man but Hillary Clinton is the indisputable candidate of Wall Street in this election. The fact that Warren would stand "with her" is proof that all of Warren's anti-Wall Street rhetoric is nothing more than hot air which disappears in the face of partisanship.

President Barack Obama has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president after meeting with her opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders at the White House. https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/740964361552941056 Clinton declared a victory in the Democratic primary on Tuesday after she won primaries in California, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota. The Associated Press announced she clinched after she captured the Puerto Rico primary, which propelled her to 2,383 delegates.

As I noted in my post on the AP announcing that Hillary Clinton has clinched the nomination ahead of the California election, the November 2016 battle is ultimately between the elite media and average Americans. As predicted by many, the American press has started pressuring Bernie Sanders to stop his campaign entirely. This gem from the San Diego Union Tribune is just one example of many attempts to cajole Sanders voters into supporting Clinton.
This is why we urge Bernie Sanders to drop his now-futile challenge to Clinton for the Democratic nomination after the final primary next Tuesday in Washington D.C. At this stage, after a historic speech as a major party’s first presumptive female presidential nominee, Clinton shouldn’t have to spend her time and resources defending herself from Sanders and his allies.
But the California media has not mentioned that Clinton has not experienced smooth sailing they portray in their coverage.

I think it's safe to say that cat's out of the bag. A former tech aide to Hillary Clinton wants an immunity deal with the Department of Justice kept quiet. The DOJ is currently investigating Hillary's use of a private email account and home-brewed server while Secretary of State. Josh Gerstein for Politico:

A handful of primaries, yet another presumed party nominee, and other sundry tidbits from last night's news blast.

Democratic Primaries

Hillary declared herself the Queen of the World (basically) last night as she accepted the Democratic Party nomination, becoming the first woman to do so. She's also the first woman to do so while under Congressional and FBI investigation, but details shmetails. Clinton was projected to win primary contests in New Jersey, New Mexico, South Dakota, Montana, and California, leaving Sanders with a caucus win in North Dakota.*

A brand new pro-Trump PAC called Rebuilding America Now has already raised a respectable sum and released its first ad which does a stunning job of tying Hillary Clinton's dishonesty to that of her husband. CNN reports:
Pro-Trump group's first ad uses Clintons' words against them A pro-Donald Trump super PAC ties Hillary Clinton's private email server use to Bill Clinton's Monica Lewinsky scandal, in its first 30-second advertisement. The spot, from the days-old group Rebuilding America Now -- launched by close Trump associate Tom Barrack with $32 million in commitments -- follows Trump's lead in casting likely Democratic nominee Clinton as untrustworthy.

In a brutal report on the administration's dishonesty regarding the nuclear deal with Iran, CNN's Jake Tapper last week concluded that Americans "have a right to know who lied to us." Tapper walked us through the basics, but let's review. The story began in February 2013, when Fox News reporter James Rosen asked then State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland, "There have been reports that intermittently, and outside of the formal P-5+1 mechanisms the Obama Administration, or members of it, have conducted direct, secret, bilateral talks with Iran. Is that true or false?"

Hillary Clinton has been endorsed by the Michael Bloomberg affiliated group Everytown which claims she's the only candidate who's serious about the issue. Gun control has never been a winner for Democrats at election time so it's surprising that this is being touted as a win for her. CNN reports:
Gun control group with Bloomberg ties endorses Clinton A major gun safety advocacy organization announced Friday it is endorsing Hillary Clinton for president. Everytown for Gun Safety president John Feinblatt said in a statement: "Gun Sense Voters have a champion in Hillary Clinton. Our litmus test is simple: does a candidate side with the public or with the gun lobby? Hillary Clinton passes that test with flying colors -- pushing back against the NRA's extreme 'guns for everyone, everywhere' agenda, and ushering in a new political calculus that saving lives from gun violence is a winning issue."

When it comes to putting Elizabeth Warren on the ticket with Hillary Clinton, the Democrats have a conundrum. On one hand, Warren would excite the party's progressive base and help shore up Sanders supporters. On the other hand, Warren's vacated senate seat could be filled by a Republican appointed by Republican Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker. Harry Reid is reportedly looking into ways to get around the senate issue. Politico reports:
Source: Reid promoting Warren for VP Harry Reid is quietly promoting Elizabeth Warren as a top pick to be Hillary Clinton’s running mate, and the Senate minority leader is already looking into Massachusetts law to see how quickly her Senate seat could be filled if Warren were to ascend to the vice presidency, a source close to him said Friday.

My campaign field report series continues today with the Hillary Clinton speech in San Diego. The underlying reason for the event is that Clinton is barely clinging to a 2-point lead in California polling data, ahead of its June 7th primary. Based on my observations, the "national security address" at the Prado in Balboa Park was an utterly astonishing failure. Furthermore, the arrangements associated with her appearance show that if she does win, Clinton will extend the Obama imperial style of presidency. I will begin my analysis with crowd size comparisons:

Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes's worth went from $4.5 billion to zero in a year after officials found her company failed at blood testing. Holmes founded the company in 2003 "with plans of revolutionizing the diagnostic test market." President Barack Obama named her as an ambassador for global entrepreneurship while the Clinton family propped her up at their Clinton Global initiative meeting last year. But Forbes has found that her stake in the company equals absolutely nothing. The company has faced "allegations that its tests are inaccurate" and investigations from government agencies. Plus their annual revenues equal less than $100 million.

It makes perfect sense that Bernie Sanders is the favored candidate of the Occupy Wall Street movement. His anti-capitalism rhetoric fits perfectly with the group's ideology. It's therefore hardly a surprise to learn that many of his supporters are planning to use Occupy style tactics to protest Hillary's nomination at the Democratic National Convention in July. Peter Hasson reports at the Daily Caller:
Twenty Thousand Committed To Anti-Hillary ‘Occupy DNC’ Protest More than twenty thousand people have committed to protest Hillary Clinton’s likely nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia — and that number is quickly growing.

A former State Department watchdog told Fox News that previous secretaries of state did not use a personal email address for official business. Leading Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton claims over and over she did nothing wrong because her predecessors used personal email addresses. Howard Krongard, who served as inspector general of the State Department from April 2005 to January 2008, strongly disagrees:
“Certainly to my knowledge at least, Secretary [Condoleezza] Rice did not have a personal server. I certainly never either sent an email to one or received an email from one,” said Krongard, who served during Rice’s tenure. Further, he said, “I would have been stunned had I been asked to send an email to her at a personal server, private address. I would have declined to do so on security grounds and if she had sent one to me, I probably would have started an investigation.”

Now that Donald Trump has acquired the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination, he still has another hurdle to clear. Some conservatives are still saying #NeverTrump and Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard is still pushing for another candidate. FOX News reported:
Trump slams 'spoiler' bid after Kristol says independent candidate to run Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday night to slam fresh predictions from Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol that an independent candidate would soon be entering the race for president, warning that a 2016 “spoiler” could swing the race to the Democrats.

Here at LI, we've been covering the current Hillary Clinton email scandal, but it seems this is not the first time she has engaged in hiding sensitive high level email communications.  As First Lady, Hillary was embroiled in an email controversy that was known as "Project X." The New York Post reports:
As first lady, Hillary was embroiled in another scheme to bury sensitive White House e-mails, known internally as “Project X.” In 1999, as investigators looked into Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate and other scandals involving the then-first lady, it was discovered that more than 1 million subpoenaed e-mails were mysteriously “lost” due to a “glitch” in a West Wing computer server. The massive hole in White House archives covered a critical two-year period — 1996 to 1998 — when Republicans and special prosecutor Ken Starr were subpoenaing White House e-mails.

We've been covering the Hillary Clinton email scandal here at LI, and now it seems that the Obama administration is actively working to prevent her deposition. The Hill reports:
The Obama administration is trying to prevent former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from being deposed in an ongoing open records case connected to her use of a private email server. Late Thursday evening, the Justice Department filed a court motion opposing the Clinton deposition request from conservative legal watchdog Judicial Watch, claiming that the organization was trying to dramatically expand the scope of the lawsuit.
Judicial Watch is “seeking instead to transform these proceedings into a wide-ranging inquiry into matters beyond the scope of the court’s order and unrelated to the FOIA request at issue in this case,” government lawyers wrote in their filing, referring to the Freedom of Information Act. The Hill continues:
The lawyers wrote that the request to interview Clinton “is wholly inappropriate” before depositions are finished in a separate case also concerning the email server.

If you've been watching Twitter for the last few days, you may have seen an ad floating around which features a bearded hipster asking if you're man enough to vote for Hillary. Unfortunately, the ad is fake. The Hill reports:
‘Man enough to vote for Hillary’ ad is fake An ad that asks voters whether they're "man enough" to vote for Hillary Clinton is not from Clinton's campaign, Jezebel reported Thursday. The ad — featuring the slogan “I am man enough to vote for a woman … Are you?” — has been shared on Twitter with the hashtag #ManEnough4Hillary. It also features one of the Democratic presidential candidate’s slogans, “I’m with her.”
