As Hillary's numbers drop and Democrats scratch their heads as they try to figure out why she's not miles ahead of Trump, Hillary demonstrates one of the many qualities that make her unpalatable to American voters:  her contempt for them. Like Kerry and Obama before her, Hillary just cannot contain her distaste for a large number of Americans.  At a fundraiser, she declared that half of Trump's supporters belong in a "basket of deplorables." NBC News reports:
Hillary Clinton urged supporters late Friday not to be complacent about Donald Trump's chances of winning the election, saying half of his backers were "desperate for change" but the other half belonged in a "basket of deplorables." Appearing at an LGBT gala fundraiser where Barbra Streisand performed, she said many of the GOP candidate's voters were "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it."
Watch:

On August 24, I noted that Hillary's strategy was to run out the clock, in light of her massive lead in the polls since the conventions, Hibernating Hillary Running Out the Clock:
The current polling gives little rational reason to think Donald Trump will win in November. No matter how you slice it — national 4-way, national head-to-head, battleground states, electoral college, unfavorability — Trump is deeply underwater, as this polling average chart at Real Clear Politics today shows: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/
That was then. Before Hillary's hibernation combined with more email problems, and Trump's staying out of trouble, caused something approaching a collapse. Here's what that same chart looks like now. Hillary is still leading, but in every category her lead has shrunk dramatically.

President Obama has TOTUS (Telepromter of the United States) and his wife has Michelle Obama's Mirror. After the Commander In Chief Forum hosted by NBC and moderated by Matt Lauer, a new social media star has been born: Hillary's Ear Piece. It became a trending topic on Twitter last night:

Today Hillary Clinton decided to hold her first formal press conference...the first in 287 days. She used it to attack GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and his performance at the forum both attended Wednesday night. She also complained about the media coverage she was receiving. Not that we need to remind you, but this is also the candidate embroiled in an email scandal wherein as Secretary of State major Clinton Foundation donors reached out to her for YUGE favors and including a few instances that just might be categorized as obstruction of justice. FBI notes showed she had difficulty remembering pertinent information from briefings, didn't know how to classify documents, or that 'C' on emails meant 'confidential'.

Everyone perked up when the State Department said it found 30 Benghazi emails in the 15,000 Hillary Clintons they discovered on a disc. Well, the officials only found ONE Benghazi email. That's right. Only ONE. It's from then- U.S. Ambassador to Brazil to Hillary after she testified in front of Congress in 2013, fawning over her performance.

House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) has asked the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia (USADC) to review the email case against Hillary Clinton because evidence "may amount to obstruction of justice and destruction of evidence." The FBI released its notes from its investigation into the private server Hillary used when she served as secretary of state. Agents discovered that some of her aides destroyed a few of her BlackBerry devices with a hammer while no one can find an Archive Laptop with 902 emails. Someone, the FBI blacked out the name, told agents that he/she "deleted the Clinton archive mailbox from the PRN server and used BleachBit to delete the exported."

While he was running for Senate in the 2012, Ted Cruz spoke extensively on the virtues of portable health insurance -- insurance not associated with any particular employer, but insurance that works more like vehicle insurance or homeowner's insurance. Though the idea is not unique to Senator Cruz, in a world where Obamacare is causing premiums to sky rocket, coverage to lessen, and government-sponsored co-ops to flop, portable health insurance is becoming a frequent visitor in health insurance reform circles. "More insurance plans will move with the person, not the job. That's real health security," said Speaker Ryan recently, explaining his new health care proposal. "This is not the twentieth century where you have the same job for your entire career, your entire life. You move around, you bounce around. We want to have a twenty-first century system that's portable with the person."

A leading candidate for President of the United States has a documented history of serious health issues, including a blood clot on her head. She has had at least two fainting episodes, including one in which she fell and broke an elbow bone. During this campaign season, she has been plagued by numerous coughing fits including two just this past weekend. The candidate, of course, is Hillary Clinton. Yet Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were very reluctant even to raise the issue on today's Morning Joe. When Scarborough announced they were about to show a clip of one of Hillary's coughing fits, Mika declared "I don't want to show it!" Scarborough apologetically said "I thought you wanted to! I wasn't even going to bring it up." But not to worry. As to Hillary possibly having a health issue, Mike declared: "No, she doesn't. That's just BS." And Scarborough was right there to second her: "she doesn't have one," later explaining "we all cough."

It's the controversy that won't go away for Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. It only became worse when the FBI released its notes and documents from its year long investigation that showed aides destroyed her BlackBerry devices, no one knows the location of the Archive laptop (which came from the Clinton Foundation), and Hillary couldn't remember hardly anything. So here is a refresher article on what we do know from this long process.

Everyone can calm down now because the Commission on Presidential Debates have announced the moderators for the president and vice president debates. The commission chose NBC Nightly News host Lester Holt, CNN's Anderson Cooper, Fox News's Chris Wallace, and ABC's Martha Raddatz for the presidential debates. CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano will moderate the vice president debate on October 4.

The FBI has released its notes from the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server after numerous media outlets put in Freedom of Information Act requests. Everyone became curious over the fact that the FBI did not recommend charges against Hillary. The FBI interviewed Hillary for 3.5 hours on July 2 at its headquarters in DC. Three days later, Comey announced his shocking decision, despite listing all the ways Clinton and her aides were careless with classified materials on her private email server. For example, she had NO IDEA how to classify information. https://twitter.com/mchastain81/status/771780184038969344

Dang, Hillary. No matter how hard you try a lie cannot become the truth because Judicial Watch keeps producing emails that shows deep ties between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department during your tenure as secretary of state. This time, the Hillary emails show that Clinton Foundation donors and officials sought diplomatic passports from her, Hillary talking about a foundation meeting in Ireland, and a major donor setting up an interview with a journalist friend. The watchdog group reported this batch included 37 emails that the State Department never received. So far Judicial Watch has uncovered 228 new emails not part of the 55,000 Clinton sent to the department.

I lived and worked in Mexico at the beginning of my career. Loved the country, the people, the culture. Was offered a permanent position. Tempting, but couldn't do it for one key reason: the absolutely endemic corruption. From the "policeman" on the corner shaking you down for an illusory infraction right up to the president, corruption and deceit were ingrained. A person would have to be dangerously naive to take as gospel the word of the Mexican president. Enter Hillary Clinton. Morning Joe today aired her latest ad in which she claims that Donald Trump was caught "lying" when he said he didn't discuss payment for the wall during his meeting with Mexican President Peña Nieto. Hillary's proof? A subsequent statement by the Mex prez that he was "clear and emphatic" that Mexico won't pay for the wall. What other statements by what other Third World leaders will Hillary—naively and uncritically—take at face value?
