An FBI investigation, investigation by Congressional committee, DOJ investigation into the Clinton Foundation, and now the IRS -- yet, Hillary's still polling above 50%. A Dallas-based IRS office is digging into the Clinton Foundation and why the entity remains tax exempt. While the foundation's bookkeeping appears rather solid and above reproach, as Joe Pappalardo from the Dallas Observer reports, whether Hillary used the foundation to buy influence and favors as Secretary of State is where the story gets a bit sticky.

As MSNBC reporters go, Kasie Hunt is among the more even-handed. Even so, no one would confuse her for a covert Trump fan. So it was remarkable that on today's Morning Joe, Hunt offered up this personal observation born out of her being out on the Clinton campaign trail: "the events that Hillary Clinton is holding in these swing states, they don't feel like a winning campaign in the final week." Yikes! Hunt contrasted the "relatively small, relatively excited" crowds at Hillary events with the "screaming crowds of people" at recent Obama rallies, where "the vibe is just entirely different." Concluded Hunt: "you can feel on the ground that enthusiasm problem."

On August 10, 2015, I asked Did Hillary just walk into a perjury trap over her emails?. The document in question was a very curiously worded Declaration under oath signed by Hillary in a Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit:
"1) While I do not know what information may be "responsive" for purposes of this law suit, I have directed that all my e-mails on clintonemail.com in my custody that were, or potentially were, federal records be provided to the Department of State, and on information and belief, this has been done...."

Libertarian VP candidate Bill Weld has apparently given up campaigning for himself and Gary Johnson, instead opting to sing the praises of Hillary Clinton on the Rachel Maddow show. Real Clear Politics reports:
Libertarian VP Candidate Weld: "I'm Here Vouching For Mrs. Clinton And I Think It's High Time Somebody Did" Fmr. Gov. and Libertarian party vice presidential candidate for president William Weld defended Hillary Clinton in an interview with Rachel Maddow. Weld, ignoring fundraising attempts by his running mate at the top of the ticket, Gary Johnson, said it is "high time" somebody defends the Democratic nominee for president and he is here to vouch for her.

It's hard to rank Clinton scandals. Hillary's email scandal has been the focus for good reason -- it's been more accessible because the records at issue were public records even if hidden and destroyed by Hillary in good measure. The Washington Post reports tonight that the Huma-Weiner computer issue that led to FBI Director Comey's letter to Congress was discovered in early October. The sequence of events leading to Comey's letter was not as quick or haphazard as reported, but fairly methodical to the point that Comey felt word would leak out because prosecutors needed a search warrant:

Not only does the media collude with Hillary Clinton, but a Department of Justice official leaked information to the campaign about the investigation. Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik, who is also involved with the probe into emails found on Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner's devices, warned John Podesta, Hillary's campaign chair, when the State would release the emails and on hearings: https://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/793831278382428164

The New York Times sent a bombshell through Hillary Clinton's close circle when it reported that she used a private email system during her tenure as secretary of state. No wonder the Clintons get away with everything! They have people scattered across the government to help them out. It turns out Assistant Attorney Peter Kadzik at the Department of Justice is also extremely close to John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chair. Kadzik is also one of the DOJ attorneys involved with the reopening of Hillary's email scandal after new evidence emerged on devices belonging to Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner.

Frank Drebin would be so proud of his namesake . . . It was one of those classic "nothing to see here, move along" moments. On today's Morning Joe, New York Times columnist Frank Bruni, saying that there was no new terrain broached in FBI Director James Comey's letter of this past Friday, claimed "it won't move people away from" voting for Hillary Clinton. Bruni also praised the "incredibly rapid and thorough mobilization of the Clinton campaign and their allies" in getting headlines to mention Comey as much as Clinton, and to question whether the FBI Director did the right thing. Lost on Bruni was the irony that chief among those Clinton campaign "allies" are members of the liberal media who write the headlines. You know: allies such as . . . Frank Bruni.

From the Arkansas Governorship to the U.S. presidency to the State Department to the Clinton Foundation, the Clintons corrupt every institution they touch. That includes the current presidential election, with Bill Clinton meeting secretly (until caught) with Attorney General Loretta Lynch as the FBI and DOJ were evaluating whether to prosecute Hillary. Bill didn't need to say particular words to influence Lynch, the message was sent by the meeting. It tainted Lynch, DOJ, the FBI and the entire investigation. Hillary was under investigation because she improperly set up a private server to handle her work email traffic, including classified information. This was done for the worst of reasons, to create a shadow electronic government completely under the control of Hillary and her team in order to shield her records of public service from public scrutiny. All else flows from that, including putting Obama in a position of lying to the public about what he knew and when he knew it.
