Hillary Clinton Tag

After an event on Capitol Hill Thursday night, Hillary was greeted by a group of young supporters who sobbed profusely when meeting the failed presidential candidate.

Remember when Hillary insisted that if Donald Trump wouldn't accept the results of the election, he was threatening our democracy? She doesn't. Neither does Jill Stein, apparently. In a new video, Bill Whittle explores what's really going on here and suggests this is all bout de-legitimizing Trump's victory. Just think back to George W. Bush and "selected not elected." Here's a partial transcript of the video from Truth Revolt:
Bill Whittle's Firewall: Hillary's Final Disgrace Well, as I write this, the Clinton campaign has decided to join in the three-state election re-count launched by Jill Stein, who, like all communists, is eager to raise a lot of money – around seven million dollars, so far. That means that Jill Stein has raised twice as much money to RECOUNT votes as she did trying to get them in the first place.

Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government holds a forum with the presidential campaign teams every four years after the election. This year provided more entertainment than usual as Hillary Clinton's team once again melted down and blamed everyone for her loss...everyone except her. The prime suspects in Hillary's team's eyes? FBI Director James Comey, unfair media coverage (go ahead and laugh at that one...I did), an unfair "double standard" because Hillary's a female (SEXISM!), and the Russians.

Back in September when the travelling press corps asked Hillary Clinton who her favourite world leader was, she was quick to name German Chancellor Angela Merkel as her top choice -- for good reasons. As Clinton was praising Mekrel, the German government was busy syphoning millions to the Clintons. Between July and September 2016, unwitting German taxpayers gave as much as $5 million to the Clinton Foundation, Germany newspaper Die Welt reveals. Die Welt asked if Chancellor Merkel was trying to influence the outcome of U.S. presidential election. According to a newly surfaced donor list, the Clinton charity received around $5 million from Germany's Ministry for Environment. Ministry's spokesperson said that they had “very positive experience” with the Clinton Foundation and the millions of dollars diverted to the Clintons were going to planting trees in countries like India, Mexico, and Vietnam.

The prof wrote about Green Party candidate Jill Stein filing for a recount in Wisconsin, and the clamoring calls from Hillary supporters for electors to change their votes have not diminished since she lost the presidential election to President-elect Trump. Team Hillary's top lawyer, Marc Elias of Perkins Coie LLP, says that the Hillary campaign WILL PARTICIPATE in the recount efforts even though they have found NO EVIDENCE of hacking or other interference with the election process.

Amid the flurry of pay-to-play allegations against the Clinton Foundation, donations to the "charity" dried up over the past couple of years, and along with those, the Clintons' speaking fees also took a nosedive. The New York Post reports:
Donations to the Clinton Foundation nose-dived last year amid Hillary Clinton’s presidential run, pay-to-play allegations, internal strife and a black mark from a charity watchdog. Contributions fell by 37 percent to $108 million, down from $172 million in 2014, according to the group’s latest tax filings.

So it seems that computer scientists and election lawyers have advised the Hillary Clinton campaign to demand a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania because they have found evidence that shows the results "MAY HAVE BEEN manipulated or Shacked." I emphasize MAY HAVE BEEN because the evidence is not crystal clear. New York Magazine reported:
Last Thursday, the activists held a conference call with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and campaign general counsel Marc Elias to make their case, according to a source briefed on the call. The academics presented findings showing that in Wisconsin, Clinton received 7 percent fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic-voting machines compared with counties that used optical scanners and paper ballots. Based on this statistical analysis, Clinton may have been denied as many as 30,000 votes; she lost Wisconsin by 27,000. While it’s important to note the group has not found proof of hacking or manipulation, they are arguing to the campaign that the suspicious pattern merits an independent review — especially in light of the fact that the Obama White House has accused the Russian government of hacking the Democratic National Committee.
Before Hillary supporters get all riled up, other experts have said any hacking did not change the election. One of the experts in the magazine article even said that the authors misrepresented what he said and had to clarify his points in a separate article.

As half the country learned two weeks ago, we do not select our president by popular vote, our president is selected by Electors in our Electoral College; a safeguard against pure democratic rule. As far as modern history is concerned, Elector's votes are typically congruent with their respective state's popular vote. Now, a handful of Democratic electors are threatening to vote their conscience:
At least a half-dozen Democratic electors have signed onto an attempt to block Donald Trump from winning an Electoral College majority, an effort designed not only to deny Trump the presidency but also to undermine the legitimacy of the institution.

When Wikileaks released Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails in July, people immediately pointed fingers at Russia and cried that the Kremlin wanted to influence the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump, who won by a large margin over Hillary Clinton. But National Security Agency (NSA) Director Mike Rogers dashed those conspiracy theories this past weekend:
“I don't think in the end it had the effect that [the hackers] had hoped it might,” Rogers said during a panel at the Halifax International Security Forum.

Assuming this statement by Kellyanne Conway proves to be the case, it's a major promise broken by Trump. The NY Post reports:
President-elect Donald Trump won’t subject Hillary Clinton to a criminal inquiry — instead, he’ll help her heal, his spokeswoman said Tuesday. “I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members,” Kellyanne Conway told the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” who first reported that the president-elect would not pursue his campaign pledge to “lock up” Clinton, his Democratic opponent.

And people have been worrying whether the Trump administration would conduct itself in a mature manner? . . . On CNN this morning, Christine Quinn—former NYC Council Speaker and a Hillary surrogate—used childish antics in an attempt to silence conservative radio talk show host Ben Ferguson on the subject of sanctuary cities. At one point [1:46 in video], Quinn raised her hand and angrily yelled "ah, ba-ba-ba-ba!" to shut Ferguson down. It was the most churlish display by a political pundit this Insurrectionist can remember. Ferguson took it all in stride, smiling wryly through Quinn's antics.

Our ongoing (and still open) poll on whether President Trump should pardon Hillary shows overwhelming opposition. But, as was mentioned in the comments to that post, we may not get there. Obama may do it first. Jesse Jackson opened up the issue in an appeal to Obama, as reported in The Detroit Free Press:

It is never ever a Clinton's fault when they fail. Never. Of course Hillary has pointed the finger at FBI Director James Comey while others blame outside forces. The only person who has actually pointed the finger at the Democrats and Hillary? President Barack Obama. Hillary told major donors that Comey's letter to Congress a week before the election cost her the presidency:
“There are lots of reasons why an election like this is not successful,” Mrs. Clinton said, according to a donor who relayed the remarks. But, she added, “our analysis is that Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum.”

I'm Libertarian. I voted for Gary Johnson. But I live in Oklahoma, which is as conservative as you can get and the GOP candidate will always win no matter how I vote. That does not stop people from accusing others like me for ruining the election for their candidate. Of course people accuse Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein of costing Hillary Clinton the election against Donald Trump. The Wall Street Journal looked through the evidence and found that neither one hurt Hillary.

No, they're not sex traitors. Yet, I cannot get over why people are so shocked that Hillary couldn't bring in the female votes. Like, holy cow, you mean that the sex of a candidate is NOT the most important factor?! Yup:
What mattered most to voters, exit surveys indicated, was the economy, and, to borrow Trump’s words, "draining the swamp" in Washington. Four in 10 voters attested that they were in search of change, and three in five said the country was seriously on the wrong track. About the same proportion of people felt the economy wasn’t working for them, and two-thirds indicated that their financial situation was either the same or worse than it was when President Obama started his second term four years go.
