Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Tag

Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unveiled the resolution for her Green New Deal with Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA). The resolution could cost up to $7 trillion. She stated that this deal "calls for a 'national, social, industrial and economic mobilization at a scale not seen since World War II.'" Somehow Ocasio-Cortez managed to fit into this Green New Deal a guaranteed job and health care for everyone. On Twitter, Lee Doren found a quote that proves this Green New Deal will hit the poor people the most.

British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and socialist media darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had a disturbingly cordial back and forth of sorts on Twitter over the weekend, revealing a troubling new political alliance:
Following the telephone call on Sunday, Mr Corbyn tweeted: "Great to speak to @AOC on the phone this evening and hear first-hand how she's challenging the status quo.

Did you hear the one about Republicans trying to shame Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over her college dance video, and being angry about it? That claim echoed through many mainstream media outlets late last week into the weekend. But it was a media fabrication, Fake News in the worst, most devious way intended to shape public perception. Multiply this incident by thousands of times, and you can understand how manipulative mainstream media is, and how major news outlets are able to frame a narrative of evil, mean Republicans that influences our politics, particularly among younger people.

Democrats are setting up the table with a new narrative for 2019 and 2020. It is increasingly apparent that they're planning a hard push on climate change. It's all about the "Green New Deal" being advanced by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Vox's Matthew Yglesias believes that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should run for president. Hey, why not? What could possibly go wrong? Oh, and if she's not old enough—and, at 29, she's not—then it's time to "fix" the Constitution.

You have to wonder if Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) isn't kicking herself and hearing a constant refrain of "be careful what you wish for" drum through her head.  The House is back in Democrat hands as of January, but she's saddled with a rabble of socialist freshmen who are intent on shaking things up . . . starting with Pelosi's much-coveted prize, the House Speakership. Leading the socialist Democrat charge is newly-elected socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).  Not only is she hopelessly clueless about . . . pretty much everything, but she's so sure of herself that she's already attended a protest against her own party, specifically against Pelosi.

New York Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez certainly has started her time at Capitol Hill off with a bang, by joining a climate change protest held outside Nancy Pelosi’s office.
The self-described Democratic socialist, who’ll be entering Congress next year, joined environmental activists from the Sunrise Movement to demand legislation to achieve 100 percent renewable energy and a special committee in Congress to address climate change.

The left's new favorite Democratic Socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, appeared at a town hall meeting in Queens on Friday night and compared fighting global warming to defeating the Nazis in World War II. It is becoming increasingly difficult to take her seriously as a person, let alone as a candidate.

CNN State of the Union host Jake Tapper, one of the last reliable MSM reporters, got socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez all tongue-tied when he asked her plain and simple how she would pay for her $40 trillion platform. From Mediaite:
“Your platform has called for various new programs including Medicare-for-all, housing as a federal right, a federal jobs guarantee, tuition-free public college, canceling all student loan debt,” said Tapper, listing a few of the items the New York candidate has promised to pursue. “According to nonpartisan and left-leaning studies friendly to your cause including the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities or the Tax Policy Center, the overall price tag is more than $40 trillion in the next decade.”

Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a candidate for the House from New York, loves the media and the media loves her right back. After her primary win over Democrat incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley, she's traveled all around the country and never had a problem with the cameras. That is until Ocasio-Cortez returned to the district she may represent in the House. Her campaign banned the press from stops on a tour throughout the district.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a media darling. They love, love, love her. Her defeat of Joe Crowley in the NY-14 primary was to herald a new era in Democrat politics - a new, young Socialist face for the coming years. Ignored was that Ocasio-Cortez won her primary with only about 16,000 votes in a primary that had an abysmally low turnout (just under 12%). Crowley pretty much ignored her candidacy, allowing her to win with barely a 4,000 vote margin.

Minnesota State Representative Ilhan Omar is running in the Democratic Primary to replace Keith Ellison in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District. Ellison, as you will recall, is the former Nation of Islam activist who has a long history of promoting and associating with anti-Israel groups. Ellison embodied the Red-Green alliance, far-left and Islamist anti-Israel politics.
