The London High Court has ruled a police investigation into allegedly "transphobic" tweets unlawful. The presiding judge, Justice Julian Knowles, likened the police methods used in the case to that of the Soviet secret police Cheka and the Nazi Gestapo. The police action amounted to a "disproportionate interference" with the freedom of speech, the court found on Friday.

The UN Human Rights Council has issued a blacklist of over a hundred companies doing business in Israel's Judea and Samaria region (also referred to as the West Bank). The database published on Wednesday comprises mostly of Israeli firms, but also includes big international names such as Airbnb, Expedia, TripAdvisor, and Motorola.

Not stopping at imprisoning and torturing women for refusing to wear Sharia-mandated hijab, the Iranian regime is now cracking down on 'indecently dressed' mannequins in shops, the Iranian state-controlled media reported. Iranian police are screening shop windows for any violation of the Sharia dress-code and shutting down retailers found in violation. They also "warned online clothing retailers that display their products in an un-Islamic fashion," news reports say.

Almost a week after the United Kingdom left the European Union, French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday unveiled a pan-European nuclear doctrine as part of country's new military strategy. "The vital interests of France now have a European dimension," he declared during the graduation ceremony at the French War College, l'Ecole de Guerre. Following Brexit, France is now the only nuclear power within the EU.

The European Union and European governments are funding several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) linked to a Palestinian terrorist group, the watchdog NGO Monitor disclosed. The research done by the Jerusalem-based watchdog group exposed eight NGOs as having operational ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S. and EU-designated terrorist group.

Never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity, Palestinian leadership has decided to thwart U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan by inciting mass protests, media reports suggest. "Palestinian officials warned over the weekend that US President Donald Trump’s plan for Mideast peace, which is expected to be announced on Tuesday, would spark a new wave of mass protests in the West Bank and Gaza Strip," the Jerusalem Post reported.

The United States has imposed sanctions against a China-linked business network financing Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and Quds Force, both U.S. designated terrorist entities. The network bought hundreds of millions of dollars worth of oil from National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), a state-owned Iranian firm "which helps to finance Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) and its terrorist proxies," The U.S. Treasury Department disclosed Thursday.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal is set to become law after both houses of parliament approved the EU Withdrawal Agreement on Wednesday. The bill was cleared 342 to 254 in the Lower House after legislators rejected all amendments suggested by the House of Lords, including guarantees for accepting minor migrants from the continent.

The number of Islamists in Germany has again hit a record high, exceeding 12,000 for the first time, says the German domestic intelligence agency, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. The number of radicalized Muslims committed to jihad has shown a three-fold rise since 2011, the intelligence assessment disclosed.

The United Kingdom has joined the United States in banning the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah in its entirety. The decision taken by the UK Treasury on Friday will lead to the freezing of all assets belonging to the Lebanon-based terrorist organization. The "failure to comply with financial sanctions legislation" or seeking to "circumvent its provisions" will be regarded as criminal offences, the UK  Treasury said in a statement.
