Progressives are having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week in the once friendly American court system. This April, I noted that U.S. District Judge William Alsup of the Northern District of California is overseeing the lawsuits that the cities of Oakland and San Francisco filed last fall against six fossil fuel giants. The two cities are seeking to hold the oil companies liable for the cost of infrastructure upgrades and remediation expected as they deal with effects of rising sea levels.

Reports indicate a specific missile test site has been slated for destruction by the North Koreans.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has committed to the U.S. that North Korea will destroy the Ch'olsan County, North Pyongan province testing site, which sometimes is referred to as the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground, CBS News reports. This agreement was made when President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met in Singapore earlier this month, administration officials confirmed. This is the missile test engine site that Trump had mentioned after their meeting, though at the time he did not name it.

President Donald Trump certainly goes where no man has gone before, executively. He has steadily erased his predecessor's legacy, returning the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to its original mission of space exploration after it spent years orbiting Planet Diversity. He has directed NASA to partner with American companies to advance small spacecraft and launch vehicle technologies.

Flying under the radar of the President Donald Trump-deranged American media are key developments from the US-North Korea summit that indicate it was an enormous success, and there are very positive signs that the breech between the two Koreas will soon begin to heal. The two nations have agreed to completely restore their military communication lines during their first general-grade military talks in more than a decade.
During the talks, they also exchanged opinions on demilitarizing the inter-Korean truce village of Panmunjom on a trial basis, it said.

One of the reasons that I think that President Donald's Trump bid to change the nature of our relationship with North Korea, as well as its place in the world, has been a success is the response of the American media. For example, during the Summit in Singapore, when it became apparent that both Trump and North Korea's Chairman Kim Jong-Un were going to have a highly productive meeting that included an informal agreement, the faces on the elite media members were reminiscent of Election Night 2016. Rachel Maddow seemed especially sad.
