What a week in SCOTUS news! While the media has chosen to focus almost exclusively on you- know-what, there is another medical holding that merits coverage.  In the consolidated cases of Ruan v. United States and Kahn v. United States, the Court delivered a 9-0 opinion, written by Justice Breyer, taking the feet of the law off of the necks of doctors who prescribe drugs to treat pain in their patients.

Kavanaugh: "The larger policy story behind this case is the multi-decade inability of the political branches to provide DHS with sufficient facilities to detain noncitizens who seek to enter the United States pending their immigration proceedings."...

A group of parents has launched a lawsuit against Loudoun County schools in Virginia which makes a variety of charges. They are represented by America First Legal, headed by former Trump adviser Stephen Miller. Several months ago, former FOX News host Megyn Kelly, a lawyer herself, said that the way to fight the woke agenda in education is in the courts, and that's just what's happening.

As expected, thanks to a leaked draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court has overruled Roe v. Wade and returned authority to regulate abortions to the states. As was also expected, demonstrations erupted in many cities to protest the decision, some of which turned riotous and unlawful. In Los Angeles, one police officer was reportedly attacked with a makeshift blowtorch.

Now that the U.S. Military is focusing on issues like social justice, equity, white privilege, and LGBT concerns, they are having trouble meeting recruitment goals. It turns out that many of the people who would normally volunteer to risk their lives for the country aren't as interested in being lectured on their race or taught about pronouns.
