Here’s the thing — being a dictator (whether for a county, a city or a state) is hard work. Proles just don’t realize how hard it is to negotiate kickbacks, help your friends and smite your enemies. It truly is a 24/7 job. In addition, you have to do your obligatory two daily attacks on Trump. So if these capo de tuti capis get a chance to grab some gusto — whether by flying to visit a daughter or traveling to Cabo or just having a meal with friends (and donors), we all have to understand and give them our full support.
It is now becoming obvious why it was so important to the left to suppress the use of hydroxychloroquine and mock and defame those who supported it, or at least wanted to properly test it. Covid was and is the potent political weapon of the left and the hydroxy could have de-fanged a large part of the pandemic. Hence the inaccurate, misplaced studies,and the lies about the about the inherent danger of the drug, which is used countless times around the world each day. I don’t know if the Covid virus was man-made, but the extent of this pandemic certainly was.
I think these liberals feel the same way about covid-19 as I do. It is a bad virus; about 3 or 4 times as bad as the seasonal flu and not much can be done about it. It just has to run its course. They are taking the actions they are for two reasons. The first is that it gives them an excuse to usurp power. Power that they will not be giving back once the crisis ends. The second is to mollify the Covid Karens who refuse to accept that the virus has to run its course and demand that the government do something about it.
