Last month, I wrote about how the cancellation of "elective" surgeries, cancer screenings, and other important and often life-saving healthcare services is impacting the U.S. healthcare system. The trend has continued downward since then, with more healthcare professionals losing their jobs, their practices, and their livelihoods.  Additionally, the harmful impact on their now-former patients is, at this point, immeasurable.

If you believe a new survey, Germans are turning to China in the wake of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. Younger Germans now prefer China over the United States as an ally, the poll conducted by Kantar Public pollsters for Germany's Koerber Foundation found.

The Wuhan coronavirus pandemic continues its devastation on the American economy as 2.4 Americans filed unemployment claims last week. Fortunately, the number continues to decline after it hit its peak a few weeks ago. The Labor Department revised last week's number down by 294,000 due to a clerical error from Connecticut.
