The Supreme Court issued Orders in two cases involving the Trump administration decision not to permit transgender persons to serve in the military. The Orders stayed District Court preliminary injunctions that had prevented the ban from going into effect. The votes split along ideological lines, with the four liberal Justices voting to deny the stay (i.e., allow the injunctions to continue).

The recent interaction in DC between high school students (one in particular) and an older activist who is Native American reminded me of a warning I once received from a colleague as to how I needed to prepare myself if I ever was in a hostile crowd or confronted. A classic leftist/occupy activist tactic, I was warned, was to confront a target and immediately start screaming that the target was being aggressive even though that was not true.

President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani said that his legal team reached out to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office after BuzzFeed dropped a supposed bombshell that Trump told former lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress. Giuliani said that both sides "agreed a significant portion of it was false."

German authorities have banned the Iranian airline Mahan Air from operating in the country amid fears of espionage and terrorism.  Iran's second largest airline has been linked to regime's Islamic Revolutionary Guard, a U.S.-designated terrorist group. The German Federal Aviation Office, equivalent of the U.S. FAA, has barred the airline from landing in the country with intimidate effect, German news outlets reported Monday.

Remember that viral video of a kid supposedly taunting a Native American Vietnam vet? Yeah, it didn't take long for people to realize there was more to the story. Well, since the media and everyone else went on a rampage against him, the student identified himself as Nick Sandmann, a junior from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. He attended the March for Life rally with other students. Sandmann explained his side of the story as those in Hollywood and the media quietly delete their nasty and hateful tweets aimed at the high school kid.

Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny for decades, but it still can set a narrative on a political candidate. Perhaps the most infamous example was the statement by Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin that "I can see Russia from my house." Palin never actually said that, but the statement became urban legend, with Palin being mocked relentlessly for years for supposedly making the statement.
