India has signed a $777 million missile defense deal with Israel, Indian newspapers report. State-owned Israel Aerospace Industries  (IAI) will supply Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missiles (LR-SAM) for the Indian Navy. The deal is another milestone in Israel-India defense cooperation. Barak 8, as the missile defense system is known, is a joint venture of IAI and India's defense research agency DRDO. Bangalore-based company Bharat Electronics (BEL) will manufacture key components for the project, Israeli business daily Globes reported. Earlier this year, Barak 8 was successfully tested aboard an Indian navy ship, Indian media reports said.

Oh joy. Chelsea Clinton said in an interview that she wouldn't rule out a potential run for political office. From The Journal News/lohud:
"I think if someone were to step down or retire and I thought I could do a good job and it matched my talents, I’d have to think if it’s the right choice for me," Clinton said in an interview ahead of her upcoming book appearance in Eastchester.

While you were focused on the midterm elections, the Kavanaugh hearings, and other media firestorms, a coalition of left-wing activist groups, including some that actively attack conservatives, has moved forward with efforts to get big tech companies to censor online speech. The problem of big tech companies acting as speech gatekeepers has been a focus here for a long time. What starts with calls to censor "Nazis"and "White Supremacists" inevitably morphs into broader attempts to censor anyone who is right of center or deemed to have expressed politically incorrect views.

As the media and the left goes on and on about hateful rhetoric from President Donald Trump after numerous someone sent Democrat foes bombs, they seem to have forgotten that their rhetoric doesn't help either. You know, like this fantasy story at The New York Times that depicts the assassination of Trump by a Russian agent with the help of the Secret Service.

Megyn Kelly issued an apology on her show this week after defending the idea of a white person wearing blackface as part of a Halloween costume. Liberals never fully accepted Kelly based on her past work at FOX News. Now her future at NBC is looking bleak. NBC ran a rerun of an episode this morning and a spokesperson said that her show "Megyn Kelly Today will be on tape the rest of the week."

One thing that we know for a certainty about the "suspicious packages" sent to various Democrat political figures is that we don't know a lot of actual facts, and many facts reported in the media will turn out to be wrong. It happens every time, including after the Newtown school shooting and Boston Marathon bombing, as I wrote back in April 2013, At Boston Marathon as in Newtown, initial media reports almost entirely wrong.
