Hopefully today is a little calmer than yesterday when it comes to Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh. We learned Monday evening that the Senate postponed his confirmation vote and scheduled a hearing on Monday with him and the woman who has accused him of sexual assault. Except she hasn't accepted the invitation yet. Once again, if you come across anything, please leave it in the comment section.

Jonathan Martin at The New York Times tweeted out that Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Republicans decided on a new hearing for Brett Kavanaugh on Monday. Seung Min Kim at The Washington Post tweeted that Sen. Orrin Hatch told reporters that a public hearing with Kavanaugh and the woman accusing him of sexual assault will occur on Monday.

Monday, the White House announced Trump's order for "immediate declassification" of the FISA application in the matter of Carter Page, a former Trump campaign advisor, which includes 20 pages of documents. Additionally, and the best part, Trump ordered public release "without redaction" of texts messages pertaining to the Russia investigation from James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.

You can always count on Rep. Maxine Waters to give away the plans to destroy Trump's presidency and administration. The latest of which occurred Friday and included a suggestion to "knock off" Trump, which was greeted with applause and cheers. The National Newspaper Publishers Association gave Waters a National Leadership Award and Waters used her platform to trash Trump.

CNN State of the Union host Jake Tapper, one of the last reliable MSM reporters, got socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez all tongue-tied when he asked her plain and simple how she would pay for her $40 trillion platform. From Mediaite:
“Your platform has called for various new programs including Medicare-for-all, housing as a federal right, a federal jobs guarantee, tuition-free public college, canceling all student loan debt,” said Tapper, listing a few of the items the New York candidate has promised to pursue. “According to nonpartisan and left-leaning studies friendly to your cause including the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities or the Tax Policy Center, the overall price tag is more than $40 trillion in the next decade.”

Salesforce billionaire Marc Benioff and his wife Lynne have purchased struggling Time magazine for $190 million. From The Wall Street Journal:
In an interview, Mr. Benioff said, “We’re investing in a company with tremendous impact on the world, one that is also an incredibly strong business. That’s what we’re looking for when we invest as a family.” The Benioffs are optimistic about Time’s large audience and growing video business. “The power of Time is its unique story telling of the people and issues that affect us all and connect us all,” said Mrs. Benioff.

Buried amid all the anti-Trump "Russia, Russia, Russia" derangement are a couple of potentially explosive revelations. Lisa Page, former FBI lawyer and mistress of former FBI agent Peter Strzok, admitted that the FBI couldn't prove collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia at the time Robert Mueller took over the investigation, and Bob Woodward admits that after searching "hard" for two years, he found no evidence of collusion, either.

I told you Friday night that the attempt to derail Brett Kavanaugh's nomination with a post-hearing accusation was not over. I expected a cameo appearance by Gloria Allred at a press conference this week with the accuser, but it didn't take that long and it wasn't Allred.

Actor Jim Carrey appeared on Bill Maher's show last week and sang the praises of socialism; at one point he stated, "We have to say yes to socialism — to the word and everything.” Venezuelan journalist Laureano Márquez was appalled and wrote a searing response in which he noted that Venezuela's on-going crises are the direct result of socialism. He also points out that people are "fleeing the country 'however way they can' as they do not have access to medication, food or other basic needs."

Back in 2011, the Obama administration announced that it was going to roll out an emergency alert system that entailed, in part, text messages to one's phone from the president.  No one can opt out of these "Presidential Alerts," and there was quite an uproar from the right about this at the time. This week, FEMA announced that it will again be testing this emergency alert system on Thursday—it was first tested in November of 2011, and the left is suddenly not happy with the Obama plan now that Obama is no longer in office.
