Paging the PC police! On CNN this morning, when Republican congressman Chris Collins light-heartedly suggested that Dreamers should be free to pursue whatever career they like, including "CNN host," Chris Cuomo responded:
"That's a low bar, Congressman. You should have higher hopes for people than to get into the media, be used as a piñata for guys like you all the time."

While President Donald Trump has vowed that United States authorities will "destroy" the gang MS-13 as part of his crackdown on crime, the Sacramento City Council voted unanimously last week to pay gang members $1.5 Million to not kill people.

For several years, anti-Israel activists have sought to hijack other causes in order to turn them against Israel. A key component of these hijackings is so-called "intersectionality," the concept that Israel is the unifying evil force in the world that ties together problems far distant from Israel, including alleged police brutality against and inequality among non-whites in the U.S. Israel thus serves the organizing purpose that Jews historically served in international conspiracy theories.

The Washington Examiner reported that Hina Alvi, the former Democrat IT aide that fled to Pakistan after coming under a federal investigation, has struck a deal with authorities and will return to the states. Alvi is married to Imran Awan. Both of them worked as IT aides to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). Authorities arrested Awan on bank fraud charges at Dulles airport in July.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, in a Facebook live event, announced that New York and 14 other states plus the District of Columbia have filed a Complaint attempting to halt the phasing out of the DACA program as announced yesterday by U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions. I get not liking someone and especially elected officials, but for all the talk of Trump's policy decisions being "cruel", you'd think there'd be a bit more self-awareness when wishing a monster storm rain fire, brimstone, and destruction on someone's home. And yet... Many, most in fact, invoked their Climatology religion (that's really what it's become), in their prayers for destruction of Trump's Mar-A-Lago estate.

Yesterday I blogged about the excerpts people have leaked from failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's memoir What Happened that blasted her opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Sanders told The Hill that it's time to move forward.

On CNN this morning, Daily Beast editor-in-chief and CNN political analyst John Avlon painted a very dark picture of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his potential use of data provided to the federal government by "Dreamers." Said Avlon:

"They are facing deportation after they gave their information and their addresses to the federal government. And all of a sudden now, Jeff Sessions . . . is in a position to weaponize that data, and go after these Dreamers, in a way that could be incredibly ugly in six months and is sinister."

Three years ago our beloved writer and Editor-to-be Mandy Nagy (aka Liberty Chick) suffered a catastrophic stroke in her mid-40s. Readers may recall that before joining Legal Insurrection, Mandy had been Andrew Breitbart’s key researcher and a writer for Breitbart News.
