I have a honey bee story. A few weeks ago, a swarm of honey bees appeared one morning on the edge of our deck. Like out of nowhere. No prior activity. We were told that it's illegal to kill honey bees, so our only option was to call a beekeeper to relocate the swarm. Even if it were legal to kill them, we would not have done that since honey bees play an important role in nature and are under enormous stress from a virus causing bee colony collapse.

TV host, radio host, and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch has once again felt the wrath of leftists over an NRA video thanks to a few scumbag journalists who purposely twisted her words. In the video, released back in April, Loesch calls out The New York Times for the publication's lies and fake news. Pathetic leftist journalists freaked out over ONE word in the almost four minute video. They insisted she said that "we're going to fist the New York Times" instead of FISK. Claiming that Dana used a sexual term led to a lot of Twitter users threatening her with sexual violence.

When former President Bill Clinton met with then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch at an Arizona airport, the gross impropriety of the "tarmac summit" was immediately evident.  Clinton's wife and 2016 Democrat presidential hopeful was then under FBI investigation for her server and email scandals.  The impropriety was pooh-poohed away by a defensive AG, a disinterested media, a complicit FBI, and the corrupt Clinton clan. The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) has released 413 pages of memos obtained from the DOJ that show the "tarmac summit" was planned and that the media was working with the Obama-Lynch DOJ to downplay and bury the entire incident.

I have frequently pointed out that the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestments and Sanctions (BDS) movement not only is deeply rooted in historical anti-Semitic movements and boycotts, but also shares common ideals and membership with anti-American movements. Much as Iranian Islamists consider Israel the Little Satan and the United States the Great Satan, so too leftist and Islamist BDS supporters share a hatred of Israel and the United States. Israel is hated not just because it is Jewish, but also because it is viewed as an outpost of American-led oppression of non-whites, colonialism and imperialism. Under the now-fashionable doctrine of intersectionality, Israel is held out as the unique connecting force among capitalist and American-imperialist evils, much as the Jew has been held out in history through anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

Mike Adams is a professor in the criminal justice program at UNC-Wilmington with a fascinating political background. According to his columnist bio at Townhall:
Upon getting his doctorate in 1993, Mike Adams, then an atheist and a Democrat, was hired by UNC-Wilmington to teach in the criminal justice program. A few years later, Adams abandoned his atheism and also became a Republican. He also nearly abandoned teaching when he took a one-year leave of absence to study law at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998.

Almost 50 days until Germany's general elections, Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel still looks invincible with the double digit lead in polls over her Social Democratic rival, Martin Schulz. If Islamist terror attacks or the migrant crime wave, both resulting from her open borders policy, have failed to affect her electoral prospects, the economy could sink her political ambitions. A looming banking crisis could "down Merkel", believes the British newspaper Daily Express. Record losses made by Commerzbank, the country's second largest bank, may "spell disaster for" Merkel's re-election bid.

On her MSNBC show this morning and while discussing the grand jury that Robert Mueller has impaneled in Washington, DC, Joy Reid dismissed as "one of the more absurd arguments I've heard" Harvard law prof Alan Dershowitz's assertion that DC has "an ethnic and racial composition that might be very unfavorable to the Trump Administration." Paul Butler, a law prof at George Washington University, reinforced Reid: "Alan Dershowitz was my criminal law professor, but I'm here to teach him: Professor Dershowitz, you're just wrong on that issue."

For several months we have been highlighting the unique opportunity presented to Donald Trump to reshape the federal judiciary. That opportunity has largely been lost in a liberal media trying to take down Trump over Russia, Russia, Russia, as I previously wrote, While you were focused on COMEY, Trump nominated another group of CONSERVATIVE Judges:

This is how the terrorists win, and civilization dies. From Australia, Bondi synagogue ban over terrorism risk leaves Jewish community shocked and furious:
A LOCAL council has banned the construction of a synagogue in Bondi because it could be a terrorist target, in a shock move that religious leaders say has caved in to Islamic extremism and created a dangerous precedent.

Legal Insurrection readers will recall President Donald Trump's address earlier this summer, in which he outlined all the reasons he was withdrawing the United States from the international climate agreement his predecessor signed in Paris. The U.S. Department of State has now officially filed notice to begin the formal process of withdrawal from the Paris accord.
Today, the United States submitted a communication to the United Nations, in its capacity as depositary for the Paris Agreement, regarding the U.S. intent to withdraw from the Paris Agreement as soon as it is eligible to do so, consistent with the terms of the Agreement. As the President indicated in his June 1 announcement and subsequently, he is open to re-engaging in the Paris Agreement if the United States can identify terms that are more favorable to it, its businesses, its workers, its people, and its taxpayers.

Earlier this year, I wrote about the UAW's unionization efforts at the Nissan plant in Canton, Mississippi.  Casting Nissan as the villain, failed presidential candidate and current socialist Senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders is stepping up his pressure on Nissan and its workers at the Canton plant. Nissan's Canton plant employees are voting on whether or not to unionize on Thursday and Friday. ABC News reports:
Workers at Nissan Motor Co.'s Mississippi assembly plant voted Thursday to decide whether to be represented by the United Auto Workers union.
