Today (May 24th) is Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day). The newest addition to the Jewish calendar and an Israeli national holiday, Jerusalem Day is held on the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar—six weeks after the Passover seder and one week before the eve of the holiday of Shavuot. In June 1967, 28 Iyar was the third day of the Six-Day War, when Jerusalem’s Old City fell to Israeli forces. As we discussed in prior posts, Jerusalem Day celebrates this reunification of Israel’s capital city, when the IDF essentially brought the holy city back to Jewish sovereignty. It also commemorates the two-day (June 6-7, 1967) hard-fought battle for Jerusalem, when the elite 55th Paratroopers Brigade, led by its legendary commander General Motta Gur, liberated Jewish holy places from an illegal and immoral Jordanian occupation.

The last time we ran an "insanity check" on the state of California, our state's legislators were laying out plans for a single-payer healthcare system. Subsequently, the state's money crunchers processed the numbers and the price tag is twice the state's annual budget!
Creating a single-payer health care system in California would cost $400 billion a year — including $200 billion in new tax revenue, according to an analysis of legislation released Monday by the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Linda Sarsour has rocketed to progressive fame by expertly playing upon liberals' need for virtue signaling. Sarsour talks a good game about everyone getting along, but demands that Zionist women be excluded from the feminist movement and embraced convicted terrorist murderer and immigration fraudster Rasmea Odeh (Featured Image above). She has given speeches at a Farrakhan-sponsored event, and thinks it's the "definition of courage" for Palestinians to send out little children to throw rocks. Sarsour posted a vile tweet attacking Ayaan Hirsi Ali in 2011, which we highlighted in #WomensMarch Co-Chair Linda Sarsour’s Twitter attack on victim of female genital mutilation:

There was a time during the first quarter of 2017, when the "Anne Frank Center (US)" aka Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, was all over the news for the bashing and thrashing its Executive Director, Steven Goldstein, gave Donald Trump. A time limited Google Search reveals dozens of articles in which Goldstein was quoted as an authority on anti-Semitism and bashing Trump. Here is a small sample:

The theory of "consensus science reliability" seems to have taken another hit, as a new report has been released that asserts government-based dietary fat guidelines "have no evidence base". Publishing in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, Dr Zoë Harcombe of the Institute of Clinical Exercise and Health Science of the University of the West of Scotland researched both the origins and the results of following the dietary fat guidelines that have prevailed in the US and the United Kingdom for almost 40 years. The evidence provides no support for the assertion that low-fat diets are healthier, especially as the incidences of obesity and diabetes have escalated dramatically during the same four decades of the guidelines' implementation.

While the liberal media fantasizes about a Democratic Party wave in 2018, the reality is that the party is still struggling to find a message. Anti-Trump rage is not a platform and it's not translating into dollars. Anna Giaritelli reports at the Washington Examiner:

Monday, a poll was released showing Jon Ossoff, the Democratic contender in the upcoming special election in Georgia's sixth Congressional district, up seven percentage points over Republican candidate, Karen Handel. Conducted by Survey USA, the poll surveyed 700 voters, 549 of which were presumed to have voted in the runoff election. Margin of error is set at 4.3 points. Where the other 150 voters went, I'm not sure, because the poll is based on 549, 30 of whom indicated they were undecided, leaving 519 surveyed voters who'd made up their minds. Of the remaining 519, 40 more people have already pledged their support for Ossoff than Handel. 239 said they'll vote for Handel and 279 plan to vote for Ossoff.

On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough  said that President Trump "revealed himself as the jackass that leaked top secret Israeli intel,"  adding that the intel that President Trump allegedly leaked was "about somebody on the inside of a terror organization that killed 20 little girls and their mothers last night." Scarborough first observed that in denying that he had mentioned Israel in his meeting with the Russians, Trump was denying something of which he had not been accused. Scarborough said that was like a man who runs into a police station saying "my wife's missing and it's not my gun that's at the bottom of the pond in the back of our house by her body."

With Europe under permanent siege, a fact that Monday night’s deadly terrorist attack in the British city of Manchester again painfully drove home, leftist agitators are hoping to gather in their thousands in the Belgian capital of Brussels to "protest" President Donald Trump's visit. "Tens of thousands" are expected at the anti-Trump march in Brussels on Wednesday, British newspaper Guardian wrote. Brussels-based ringleaders of the anti-Trump protests were mad at President Trump for “excluding people”, “denying global warming,” and “intimidating the media.” On their website the organisers urged that they "would like to see pussy hats in all shapes and colours to show our resistance against Trump." Among Far-Left political parties and unions, the UK-based charity Oxfam and the 'environmental' group Greenpeace have been listed as the sponsors of the protest.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, UK, on Monday night. The attack killed 22 people and left 59 injured. British authorities refuse to name the attacker, but CBS News reported he was 23-year-old Salman Abedi. Yes, the authorities knew about him before the attack.

The anti-Trump fervor we've been documenting is not limited to college campuses, the mainstream media, and well-organized and -funded leftist organizations.  The unhinged hatred for our president most recently manifested at California's Democratic Party Convention where its chairman, John Burton, raised his middle finger and lead a chant of “F*%! Donald Trump." The Sacramento Bee reports:

President Donald Trump finished his trip to Israel by meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum in Jerusalem and the Israel Museum. During his first day, Trump "pledged to work toward Israeli-Palestinain peace," but admitted it's the "toughest deal of all." However, he assured Netanyahu "that the U.S. wants Israel to have peace."
