So there I was, minding my own business, enjoying my newborn second grandaughter (did I mention that?), when shit rolled downhill at me in the form of fury from some Cornell Law School faculty, alumni, and students, because I told some hard truths and expressed some tough opinions about the start of the organized Black Lives Matter Movement and the recent rioting and looting.

Mark Levin was on a roll Sunday when faced with a claim from Fox & Friends co-host Ed Henry about Trump supposedly asking Ukraine to "dig up dirt" on Joe Biden. In a video that is quickly going viral, Henry badgers Levin about whether or not he's "okay with the president asking another president to dig up dirt on a candidate."  Levin disputed that such a request was made and called the framing of the question "not honest."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a character familiar to anyone who has spent substantial time on campuses in the past two decades She's a walking, talking social justice warrior soundbite machine, someone whose knowledge is a mile wide and an inch deep. Social media, where she excels, is perfect for shallow but woke wisdom.

Manhattan Institute scholar and author Heather Mac Donald appeared on the Mark Levin show this weekend to discuss how campus culture has begun to surface in American politics. Social justice warriors used to be confined to college campuses, now their world view has been adopted by many elected officials.

I was a guest on the Mark Levin Show on Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018. The topic was my post, Rosenstein Memo confirming Mueller could investigate Manafort came a week after raid on Manafort’s home. We also covered related topics such as Manafort's attempt to get the case against him thrown out, and whether Donald Trump should agree to an in-person interview with Mueller.

Next Tuesday, August 15, is an Alabama Special Election primary for the Republican nomination to replace Jeff Sessions in the U.S. Senate. Luther Strange was an interim appointment, and is running. Congressman Mo Brooks and "controversial" former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore also are running. Since whoever gets the Republican nomination is all but guaranteed to win in the general election, the Republican Special Election essentially is the election.

I just finished reading Mark Levin's new book, Rediscovering Americanism and The Tyranny of Progressivism. The book debuted at No 1 on the NY Times bestseller list. This is the third of Levin's books I've read and reviewed. There definitely is a theme: The necessity of stopping the march of progressivism in order to preserve individual liberty. From my review of The Liberty Amendments – Mark Levin’s Constitutional Sequester (2013):

With the House having passed a healthcare bill, and the Senate close to passing a version, there is a lot of debate over the specifics of the bills. Shameless Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders portray Republicans as setting out to kill tens of thousands of Americans. In the wake of the shooting of Republican Congressmen by a Sanders-supporter spouting similar talking points, the false death claims are nothing short of incitement to violence.
