Newly-minted Virginia governor Ralph Northam (D, sorry, CNN, not R) is expected to make a statement this afternoon about the latest revelation in his terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week. Following the revelation that Northam is a proponent of infanticide, a yearbook photo from his med school days (i.e. as a man in his mid-twenties, not a teen in high school) surfaced that suggested that he was either wearing blackface or a KKK costume.

By the time you read this, Ralph Northam may or may not still be Governor of Virginia. He is paying the price for the gotcha racial politics he and Democrats use against others, except in this case there actually is a there there, in the form of his medical school yearbook photo showing him either in blackface or a Klan robe (not clear which he is), VA DEM Gov. Ralph Northam quickly moves from infanticide scandal to blackface/KKK yearbook mess.

When Virginia legislator Kathy Tran explained on video that the "reproductive" rights bill being pushed by Virginia Democrats allowed for abortion on demand even during labor to protect the mental health of the mother, conservatives "pounced" and "seized" on it, in liberal media parlance. Not Democrat Virginia Governor Ralph Northam. He pulled a "hold my beer" move and in an interview defended post-birth abortion. If a child were delivered, according to Northam, the child would be kept comfortable while mother and medical staff talked about its fate.

Kathy Tran desperately needed some good PR Thursday in the aftermath of the controversy surrounding her radical abortion law proposal, and when a Twitter post of hers failed to persuade people, a familiar Democrat-friendly source swooped in to try and save the day. The Virginia Democratic Delegate reactivated her Twitter account Thursday morning to address the "misinformation" being spread about "The Repeal Act", which would significantly loosen restrictions on third trimester abortions and make access to them much easier:

Gerard Alexander, an associate professor of politics at the University of Virginia, recently wrote an article for the New York Times suggesting that when it comes to Trump, liberals are their own worst enemies. It has become a common joke for conservatives on Twitter to respond to liberal lunacy by saying "Do you want more Trump? Because this is how you get more Trump." That idea forms the essence of Professor Alexander's column:
Liberals, You’re Not as Smart as You Think I know many liberals, and two of them really are my best friends. Liberals make good movies and television shows. Their idealism has been an inspiration for me and many others. Many liberals are very smart. But they are not as smart, or as persuasive, as they think.

As we have documented here dozens of times, a standard anti-Israel tactic on campuses is to disrupt events and speakers. The purpose of even a temporary disruption is to intimidate and make clear there is a price to pay for Israeli or pro-Israel events. It happened again, at an event sponsored by the Brody Jewish Center - Hillel at the University of Virginia and two pro-Israel student groups.
