During immigration legislation negotiations, Trump singled out Haiti, El Salvador, and a handful of African countries, describing them as "shitholes," or so claimed the Washington Post. Their bombshell intel came from people who were not in the meeting but later briefed on the contents of said meeting, making their source on par with a game of telephone.

In her post "Bannon v. Trump v. Bannon," Kemberlee laid out the latest White House drama that has the left salivating at the thought of managing to undo the 2016 election. The drama started, as Kemberlee wrote, with an "article published in The Guardian Wednesday lifted passages from a new book ‘Fire and Fury’ by Michael Wolff. Bannon was quoted heavily in the book, calling the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous'." One star of this latest batch of leftist hysteria has been White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

At the end of every year, we see a flurry of predictions for the coming year.  None were as amusing as last year's apocalyptic hysteria as the left contemplated the calamities they envisioned for 2017. President Trump, they assured us, would destroy our and the global economy, "punish" journalists, quit Twitter, take over Voice of America, and of course, be impeached by year's end.

On Wednesday afternoon, President Donald Trump held a news conference on the White House lawn to celebrate the tax bill's passage through Congress. A group of GOP lawmakers joined him, including Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC). Scott had a place right next to the president, which led HuffPo contributor Andy Ostroy to call him a prop used by Trump. Scott replied back that he helped write the bill and gather support for the bill. In other words, Scott's hard work is one reason why it passed.

Apparently, some obscure Representative no one has ever heard of mused about whether or not President Trump will fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller next week, and the entire #Resistance freaked out.  They are hastily organizing spontaneous protests should Trump indeed fire Mueller, and Twitter is abuzz with their frenzied outrage . . . and a good bit of well-deserved mockery. The Hill reported yesterday that Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) appeared on some local PBS channel and shared that there's a "rumor" that President Trump is giving a major speech next week and that he intends to fire Mueller on December 22nd.

In an infamous one-liner aimed at then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney (R-MA), then-candidate Obama and incumbent president (D) said, “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back . . . the Cold War is over.”  This was after Obama's Secretary of State Hillary Clinton bungled the "Russian reset" by skewering the translation on her symbolic "reset" button.  This was also before Obama promised, in an equally-infamous hot mic moment,  "flexibility" with Russia after the 2012 election.

Georgetown Law Professor Randy Barnett had a tweet on December 5, 2017, that I've been meaning to write about. It reflects a subject I, and others, have been focusing on since election night -- the refusal of Democrats and #NeverTrump Republicans to accept the outcome of the election not just emotionally, but as to the transfer of power that continues to this day, over a year since the 2016 election. Here is Prof. Barnett's tweet, referencing the attempt by outgoing CFPB Director Richard Cordray preemptively to install Leandra English as Interim Director over the objections of the Trump administration.

Over the weekend, the New York Times published a glimpse virtual behind the scenes glimpse into Trump's presidency. Nestled in the story was the revelation that Trump consumes approximately 12 Diet Cokes daily, Cokes delivered to him by White House staff summoned by a button.
