Four teenage girls were standing in line at Tiny's Milk and Cookies in West University Place, a tiny municipality nestled within the Houston city limits. They were waiting to buy cookies for kids at their church. One of the teenaged-girls was wearing a Trump t-shirt that said, "Make America Great Again." While waiting, West U Councilwoman Kellye Burke walked up to them and screamed, "Grab em by the p*ssy girls!" They tried to laugh it off, but Burke kept on.

A Harris County grand jury indicted Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett on a federal charge of injury of the elderly at the 2017 Super Bowl that took place at Houston's NRG Stadium. Bennett allegedly forced his way through security to get on the field to celebrate with his brother and the New England Patriots. He allegedly injured a 66-year-old paraplegic woman on the security team.

Michael Anthony Conditt, the 24-year-old male suspect in the Austin bombings, blew himself up in his car early this morning after the police chased him. From KXAN:
The explosion happened on Interstate 35 in Round Rock near Old Settlers Boulevard around 2 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators had recently identified a 24-year-old white man as a person of interest and then a suspect, and found the vehicle he was known to drive at a hotel in Round Rock.

In 2015, then-14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed was caught up in leftist "zero tolerance" policies when he brought a homemade clock to school.  The clock, school officials said, looked like a bomb. The teen was sent to the principal's office when his clock started beeping in English class.  He was subsequently suspended from school for three days and arrested for making a "hoax bomb."  The charges were later dropped.

Ted Cruz's Democrat opponent Rep. Robert O'Rourke just put a serious damper on his bid for a seat in the Big House (not that there was any serious competition before). Speaking at South by Southwest in Austin, O'Rourke said he doesn't think AR-15s should be sold to private citizens. Mind you, this is a TEXAS Senate race and us Texans have big love for our guns and our second amendment protections.

Today is a rough day to be a Texas Democrat. That blue wave we've heard about for months was more of a ripple. Months of wish casting, hoping, dreaming, pretending a blue wave was cresting in the Lone Star State, only to be clobbered by Republicans in voter turnout. Piece after piece was written about record Democrat turnout in early voting. The predictions had Texas Republicans rattled and Governor Abbott encouraging Republicans to get to the polls.
