IAEA, the International Atomic Energy Agency, is now warning that North Korea may have restarted a nuclear reactor, signaling that the communist nation might once again pursue the creation of nuclear weapons. North Korea's timing on this is perfect because there's not enough chaos in the world right now.

While President Joe Biden's administration looks forward to diplomatic talks with China and Iran, both regimes have started to build ballistic missile facilities. 

Chinese nuclear-armed ballistic missiles are not only capable of hitting anywhere in the world, but they can also target satellites and space assets in the earth's orbit. Iran, aided by Russian, Chinese, and North Korean technology, can strike western Europe.

Iran and other rogue states are covertly working to acquire German technology for making nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, Germany's prominent intelligence agency confirmed on Friday. Tehran was using front companies to deceive German firms into selling dual-use equipment and sanctioned WMD technology, the intelligence service of Germany's Hesse state disclosed in its annual report.

There are a small number of movies that had a profound impact on me as a child. Having grown up in the generation for whom nuclear war was the looming threat, many of those formative movies concerned the aftermath of nuclear war. I particularly remember Fail Safe and Dr. Strangelove.

Legal Insurrection readers may recall that my September 2017 post discussing that the North Korean mountain used as a test site was poised to collapse.
A mountain in North Korea believed to have served as the site of five of the rogue regime’s nuclear tests — including Sunday’s supposed hydrogen bomb explosion — is at risk of collapsing and leaking radiation into the region, a Chinese scientist said Monday.

When I saw the tweeted outrage from the perpetually outraged about the Center for Disease Control (CDC)'s upcoming panel on the "Public Health Response to a Nuclear Detonation," I rolled my eyes and thought "here they go again." After all, earlier this week, North Korea's Kim Jong Un threatened the U. S. with a nuclear strike on our "entire" mainland.  No one really knows how crazy Un is.  Unlike his grandfather and father before him, he's never known a time when his family wasn't ruling over North Korea with an iron fist.

In a New Year's announcement, North Korean dictator Kim Jung Un stated that his nation was on the verge of launching its first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) - a missile capable of both carrying a nuclear warhead and reaching the United States. This threat could President-elect Donald Trump's first major foreign policy challenge, coming as it does after nuclear bomb tests of varying success by the North Koreans.
