Filmmaker Ami Horowitz traveled to Mexico and mingled inside the caravan headed to America. He revealed his findings to Tucker Carlson (emphasis mine):
“What we do know is this thing cost millions and millions of dollars. The mainstream media, and there are so many layers [of] onions to peel back, it’s hard to know where to begin. One of the lies the fake news if you will, media is trying to propagate is the fact that all this weird organic thing and all the water and the food and medicine, all dropped from … manna from heaven. It’s bologna. It’s all highly organized. It’s paid for by a number of organizations, we don’t know exactly where the money is coming from.”

Reports have come out today that the military will deploy 5,000 troops to the border. Initial reports last week stated that Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis planned to send only 800. A Pentagon spokesperson said the situation remains fluid and the number of troops could change.

Last weekend, I covered the latest caravan of illegal immigrants careening toward our southern border, and on Friday, Mary blogged about President Trump considering executive action to narrow requirements for asylum-seekers. Now we are learning that thousands of illegal immigrants currently making their way through Mexico have been offered refugee status by the Mexican government.  Refugee status in Mexico would make the illegal aliens eligible for medical care, schooling, shelter, and jobs.  The offer was rejected.

Reports came out late Thursday night that President Donald Trump has been considering using executive action to stop the migrant caravan that is headed to our border. From Politico:
Under the plan, the Trump administration would publish fast-track regulation that would restrict certain migrants' ability to seek asylum. The regulation would be paired with a related proclamation from President Donald Trump.

On Monday, I blogged that reporters discovered Bangladeshis mixed in the migrant caravan moving towards the US border. Now Judicial Watch and Sara Carter have reported that people "from all over the world" are in the caravan as the MSM has slammed President Donald Trump for making claims that criminals and people from the Middle East have joined the caravan. There's also a second caravan forming in Guatemala.

The Daily Caller has reported that Univision correspondent Santa Anna, a reporter traveling with the migrant caravan that's moving into Mexico from Guatemala, noticed people from Bangladesh within the massive crowd of migrants:
“Yesterday when we were traveling through Guatemala, we noticed people from El Salvador and even people from Bangladesh,” he continued. “Can you imagine what they had to do to get here? They infiltrated themselves in this caravan and tried to cross with the crowd. That would have benefited them greatly.”
Bangladesh remains a hot spot for ISIS and other terrorist groups.

The migrant caravan from Central America continues their march to the US border despite threats from President Donald Trump with publications estimating between 5,000 and 7,000 people. As they made their way over the Suchiate River, which connects Guatemala and Mexico, the head of the local government's emergency services Gerardo Hernandez said, "You can't even walk, there's just so many people."

NAFTA is now called the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, after the three countries reached a new deal late Sunday night. From The Wall Street Journal:
The biggest impact is expected to be on the region’s largest industry, autos, requiring a greater portion of vehicles to be made in North America and with high-wage labor in the U.S. and Canada. The new deal for the first time sets rules for financial-services and digital businesses that have emerged since the bloc was created, aimed at pleasing sectors from drugmakers to Wall Street.

Senator Cory Booker appeared at the Netroots 2018 conference. Netroots is the annual gathering of far-left ("progressive") activists. For presidential hopefuls hoping to generate buzz among the base, Netroots is a must. This year Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker were among the speakers.

GREAT NEWS! The man accused of murdering Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in December 2010 was extradited from Mexico to the U.S. Suspect Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes allegedly used a gun from Operation Fast & Furious, a gun-running scheme established under former Attorney General Eric Holder's Department of Justice. He will face charges of first degree murder and have an arraignment in Tucson, Arizona.

Third time is a charm for former Mexico City mayor Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The two-time presidential runner up came out on top of Mexico's presidential election on Sunday in a landslide victory. He's the first leftist to win the election in decades in Mexico. Some of his supporters have referred him as the "messiah" as they look to him to uphold promises the other parties have failed to uphold.
