Two black men were arrested at a Starbucks Coffee store in Philadelphia last week after getting a call from a store manager. The men arrested attempted to use the store's bathrooms without purchasing anything and then refused to leave. They were reportedly meeting with a real estate investor.

Do I really have to say this? Apparently so. The culture wars are exhausting. The best parts of life once meant to be an entertaining escape are now plagued with revisionary idiocy. Not even Indiana Jones is safe.

I was a big fan of the original Roseanne during its original run from 1988 to 1997. So, when I learned that Roseanne Barr would be reviving the show and portraying a very vocal Trump supporter, I made sure to catch it.

A Harris County grand jury indicted Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett on a federal charge of injury of the elderly at the 2017 Super Bowl that took place at Houston's NRG Stadium. Bennett allegedly forced his way through security to get on the field to celebrate with his brother and the New England Patriots. He allegedly injured a 66-year-old paraplegic woman on the security team.

Cue Twilight Zone music.  I was flipping through the four channels my antenna picks up, and happened across Ellen, the daytime talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.  She was interviewing Ellen Pompeo, who plays the title character Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy, and they were discussing income inequality.  Imagine my surprise when the two Ellens began to sound like Bill Whittle on wealth creation.

Actress Cynthia Nixon, better known as Miranda from Sex and the City, has announced her candidacy for New York governor via Twitter. She has never run for elected office (sound like someone we all know?) and will take on two-term Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! If you have a chance to celebrate the holiday today, you may want to add some music to the experience. I am a longtime fan of Irish music and I'm happy to provide a few recommendations.

An American Idol episode filmed last fall and aired this week has created some controversy.  Katy Perry, a judge on the show, surprise-kissed a young man on the lips just before his audition. He told the NYT that this was his first kiss, and that he had been saving this milestone for his first relationship.
