Mark Meadows (R-NC) announced on Monday that his office received new text messages between former FBI agent Peter Strozk and his mistress Lisa Page that shows "an apparent systemic culture of media leaking by high-ranking officials at FBI and DOJ related to ongoing investigations." New texts released by Meadows on Tuesday cemented his theory. In other words, the two agencies teamed up to release harmful information to the media about President Donald Trump last year right before Special Counsel Robert Mueller began his Russia-Trump probe.

Today marks the 17th anniversary of the 911 attack on this nation, which hit New York's iconic World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a farm field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The heroes of United Airlines flight 93, who brought down the plane before it could return to Washington D.C. and slam into the White House, are being honored with an innovative memorial.

In a field amid the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania stands the "Tower of Voices." Ninety-three-feet tall, it honors the heroes of Flight 93.

Sweden faces political impasse after ruling left-wing coalition and the opposition center-right alliance failed to win a clear majority in Sunday's election. The biggest winner of the night was the nationalist party, the Swedish Democrats, who won 18 percent of the vote, compared to 12 percent in the 2014 elections. "We see that we are this election's winner, but now we enter a new mandate period and now we are going to get influence over Swedish politics for real," Jimmie Akesson, the leader of the Sweden Democrats, told supporters Sunday night. “We strengthen our kingmaker role. In July, the Department of Justice charged Russian national Maria Butina with conspiring to defraud the United States and acting as an unregistered foreign agent. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges. U. S. prosecutors admitted they misread text messages they used in court Friday to claim that Butina traded sex for access. They were attempting to show Butina as a flight risk and say the mistake should not diminish their case to continue holding her. She had been denied bond in July, but her attorney wants her released on home confinement.
