Kemberlee Kaye is the Senior Contributing Editor of Legal Insurrection, where she has worked since 2014 and is the Director of Operations and Editorial Development for the Legal Insurrection Foundation. She also serves as the Managing Editor for CriticalRace.org, a research project of the Legal Insurrection Foundation.

She has a background working in immigration law, and as a grassroots organizer, digital media strategist, campaign lackey, and muckraker. Over the years Kemberlee has worked with FreedomWorks, Americans for Prosperity, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas, and US Senate re-election campaigns, among others. 

Kemberlee, her daughter, and her son live a lovely taco-filled life in their native Texas.

Will corporations never learn that knee-jerk reactions to online outrage are almost always factually vapid? Apparently not. Fast food chain Chipotle recently fired a manager after a viral video showed her refusing service to a group of young, black men. She also suggested the group of men did not have money to pay for their food, saying the last several times they frequented the restaurant, they didn't have money to pay. "You gotta pay because you’ve never had money when you come in here. We're not gonna make food unless you guys actually have money," she said.

Friday, Georgia Democrat candidate for Governor Stacy Abrams acknowledged that she had not and would not win, but refused to concede. Similar to her election night speech, Abrams criticized Kemp and claimed he is "leveraging his role as the state’s top elections official to suppress voters," according to the AJC.

More than a week after the election and we finally have a winner in Florida's Governor race -- Republican Ron DeSantis was declared the winner by enough of a margin to stave off a hand recount. The results won't be certified until next week, which is a little concerning given the shenanigans we've seen during the recount process.

Friday, the Trump Administration issued a proclamation via the Department of Homeland Security that makes it more difficult for illegal border crossers to obtain asylum status once inside the US. The administration claims the goal of the new rules is to dissuade asylum-seekers from entering the country illegally and encourage asylum-seekers to do so properly at a port of entry.

Thursday, the 9th Circuit upheld an injunction which blocked the Trump administration's termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
