As we've reported already, Operation Counterweight member, David Rouzer, is heading for a recount in North Carolina's hotly contested 7th Congressional District. From the News & Observer: Longtime Democratic incumbent Congressman Mike McIntyre and Republican challenger state Sen. David Rouzer are headed to a recount. Merely 507 votes...

I cannot at this point verify that this was in fact a Senior Prank, or if it was just a rogue gang of Republican students wanting to make a statement or have a laugh. Whatever the case, my former high school in Cobb County, Georgia has...

It doesn't matter how great one's lead in the polls is unless those surveyed actually go to the polls. GOTV operations are going on across the country, with particular emphasis in the crucial swing states. Anyone who wants to help can do so simply by making calls from home...

I have one suggestion for the Obama campaign and supporters thereof: Moratorium on the creepy campaign ads with choirs of children singing about how much of a savior President Obama is. There have been a few questionable ones in the past but this one, I think, reaches...

Newly released data from the weekly Battleground Poll sponsored by Politico and George Washington University has come up with an interesting set of numbers this week. The first part of the data taken in represents a poll of likely voters from last week. Here, Obama has...

In a race that has long been dubbed the closest Georgia Congressional contest, new developments suggest it may be slowly tilting in favor of incumbent Democrat, John Barrow. The Rothenberg Political Report is now handicapping Georgia’s 12th District congressional race as “toss-up/tilt Democrat” – with an...

Last night, a series of e-mails from the night of the 9/11 Benghazi attacks were released. The e-mails were from the State Department to various high level groups and intelligence agencies within the government. Among them were the White House Situation Room, the office of the...

October has been a month full of good news for Mia Love. The Operation Counterweight member running for Congress in Utah's newly created 4th Congressional District has faced an uphill battle since she entered the race. She began her campaign in the Republican primary with little...

Forbes contributor, Larry Bell, released an article late last night entitled, "Pants On Fire: Obama Administration Scrambles for Cover as Benghazi Lie Explodes." The article, drawing on reports from CNN, reveals a picture the Obama administration is desperately trying to sweep under the rug. President Obama's foreign...

In yet another solid interview, Dan Bongino outlines his vision for Washinton, D.C. The clip is less than 5 minutes, and I recommend watching it in its entirety, but I thought his response to the question of Obamacare was particularly good. Q. Is the Healthcare Reform Act...

A recently released Associated Press article on the Operation Counterweight race between David Rouzer (R) and Mike McIntyre (D) has echoed a common assertion regarding Mike McIntyre's political status. A member of his party’s conservative Blue Dog caucus, McIntyre casually quotes Scripture, rails against illegal immigrants,...

As always, the usual caveats. We're still roughly four weeks out from election day and there are plenty of things that can happen between now and then. That being said, this new poll shows Romney looking strong one week after his debate with the President. In the...

It doesn't particularly matter who does, just as long as he's mentioned. Perhaps Joe Biden will think he can get a jab in at the Romney campaign for threatening to cut the funding to PBS. Or maybe Paul Ryan will choose to bring it up sua...

The consensus from the far left following this morning's release of September jobs numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics can be described as nothing short of elation. According to the BLS, unemployment sharply dropped from 8.1% to 7.8%. This marks the first time unemployment rate...

Operation Counterweight member, David Rouzer recently released a new campaign ad along with this statement: Congressman McIntyre has been in Washington for 16 years and not one bill he has been the primary sponsor of has been signed into law. Families in the 7th District deserve an...

First, there was the CBS instant poll taken immediately following Wednesday night's Presidential debate. The poll was a "scientifically representative" sample of uncommitted voters that showed Romney cruising to an overwhelming victory by a margin of 2-1 over President Obama. Then, there was the collective meltdown of...
