“The Times viewed photographs of one woman’s corpse … with dozens of nails driven into her thighs and groin”

NY Times bears witness to evidence of Palestinian sexual savagery on October 7: “A two-month investigation by The Times uncovered painful new details, establishing that the attacks against women were not isolated events but part of a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7.”

The sexual crimes committed by Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Gaza “civilians” on October 7 have been well-documented and reported on by a range of media. Nonetheless, there is a concerted effort at rape denialism at websites like the “Electronic Intifada” and various social media accounts.

Yet of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of international journalists, diplomats, public officials, and others who have been privately shown the video and photo evidence, including a 45-minute compendium taken mostly from Hamas’ own body cams, not one has claimed Israeli is lying.

We have dozens of prior posts (see links at bottom) with photos, videos, and witness attestation to Hamas’ butchery and savagery, particularly towards women who were not only raped but also sexually mutilated.

Now you know why Israel is so determined to eliminate Hamas and the other Jihadist terror groups. This time it is different.

Israelis knew what happened early on, even if they didn’t know all the sordid details. I reminded of the statement on October 12, 2023,  from law professor Eugene Kontorovich, that I’ve quoted before:

Perhaps the greatest mercy Israel is showing to Gaza is not releasing to the public the full details of what was done by the invaders to their victims. Ostensibly for the sensitivities of the families, but also I think because what populace would be able to restrain themselves?

Under these circumstances, Israel has exercised incredible restraint and military professionalism.

The New York Times now joins Chris Cuomo  and others on the list of foreign (to Israel) journalists who have seen the evidence and attested to Hamas’ war crimes, ‘Screams Without Words’: How Hamas Weaponized Sexual Violence on Oct. 7:

At first, she was known simply as “the woman in the black dress.”

In a grainy video, you can see her, lying on her back, dress torn, legs spread, vagina exposed. Her face is burned beyond recognition and her right hand covers her eyes.

The video was shot in the early hours of Oct. 8 by a woman searching for a missing friend at the site of the rave in southern Israel where, the day before, Hamas terrorists massacred hundreds of young Israelis.

The video went viral, with thousands of people responding, desperate to know if the woman in the black dress was their missing friend, sister or daughter.

One family knew exactly who she was — Gal Abdush, mother of two from a working-class town in central Israel, who disappeared from the rave that night with her husband.

As the terrorists closed in on her, trapped on a highway in a line of cars of people trying to flee the party, she sent one final WhatsApp message to her family: “You don’t understand.”

Based largely on the video evidence — which was verified by The New York Times — Israeli police officials said they believed that Ms. Abdush was raped, and she has become a symbol of the horrors visited upon Israeli women and girls during the Oct. 7 attacks.

This appears to be the video the Times is talking about, which is hard to watch and which we posted on October 11, 2023.

The Times continued:

A two-month investigation by The Times uncovered painful new details, establishing that the attacks against women were not isolated events but part of a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7.

Relying on video footage, photographs, GPS data from mobile phones and interviews with more than 150 people, including witnesses, medical personnel, soldiers and rape counselors, The Times identified at least seven locations where Israeli women and girls appear to have been sexually assaulted or mutilated.

Four witnesses described in graphic detail seeing women raped and killed at two different places along Route 232, the same highway where Ms. Abdush’s half-naked body was found sprawled on the road at a third location.

And The Times interviewed several soldiers and volunteer medics who together described finding more than 30 bodies of women and girls in and around the rave site and in two kibbutzim in a similar state as Ms. Abdush’s — legs spread, clothes torn off, signs of abuse in their genital areas.

There are a lot more details in The Times’ story, here is just part of it:

Many of the accounts are difficult to bear, and the visual evidence is disturbing to see.

The Times viewed photographs of one woman’s corpse that emergency responders discovered in the rubble of a besieged kibbutz with dozens of nails driven into her thighs and groin.

The Times also viewed a video, provided by the Israeli military, showing two dead Israeli soldiers at a base near Gaza who appeared to have been shot directly in their vaginas….

Sapir, a 24-year-old accountant, has become one of the Israeli police’s key witnesses. She does not want to be fully identified, saying she would be hounded for the rest of her life if her last name were revealed.

She attended the rave with several friends and provided investigators with graphic testimony. She also spoke to The Times. In a two-hour interview outside a cafe in southern Israel, she recounted seeing groups of heavily armed gunmen rape and kill at least five women.

She said that at 8 a.m. on Oct. 7, she was hiding under the low branches of a bushy tamarisk tree, just off Route 232, about four miles southwest of the party. She had been shot in the back. She felt faint. She covered herself in dry grass and lay as still as she could.

About 15 meters from her hiding place, she said, she saw motorcycles, cars and trucks pulling up. She said that she saw “about 100 men,” most of them dressed in military fatigues and combat boots, a few in dark sweatsuits, getting in and out of the vehicles. She said the men congregated along the road and passed between them assault rifles, grenades, small missiles — and badly wounded women.

“It was like an assembly point,” she said.

The first victim she said she saw was a young woman with copper-color hair, blood running down her back, pants pushed down to her knees. One man pulled her by the hair and made her bend over. Another penetrated her, Sapir said, and every time she flinched, he plunged a knife into her back.

She said she then watched another woman “shredded into pieces.” While one terrorist raped her, she said, another pulled out a box cutter and sliced off her breast.

“One continues to rape her, and the other throws her breast to someone else, and they play with it, throw it, and it falls on the road,” Sapir said.

She said the men sliced her face and then the woman fell out of view. Around the same time, she said, she saw three other women raped and terrorists carrying the severed heads of three more women….

That same morning, along Route 232 but in a different location about a mile southwest of the party area, Raz Cohen — a young Israeli who had also attended the rave and had worked recently in the Democratic Republic of Congo training Congolese soldiers — said that he was hiding in a dried-up streambed. It provided some cover from the assailants combing the area and shooting anyone they found, he said in an hour-and-a-half interview in a Tel Aviv restaurant.

Maybe 40 yards in front of him, he recalled, a white van pulled up and its doors flew open.

He said he then saw five men, wearing civilian clothes, all carrying knives and one carrying a hammer, dragging a woman across the ground. She was young, naked and screaming.

“They all gather around her,” Mr. Cohen said. “She’s standing up. They start raping her. I saw the men standing in a half circle around her. One penetrates her. She screams. I still remember her voice, screams without words.”

“Then one of them raises a knife,” he said, “and they just slaughtered her.”

Shoam Gueta, one of Mr. Cohen’s friends and a fashion designer, said the two were hiding together in the streambed. He said he saw at least four men step out of the van and attack the woman, who ended up “between their legs.” He said that they were “talking, giggling and shouting,” and that one of them stabbed her with a knife repeatedly, “literally butchering her.”

American college students celebrate hamas??

Perhaps, watching all these videos should be a mandatory requirement to get a diploma?

      inspectorudy in reply to jb4. | December 29, 2023 at 10:24 am

I think this video should be required watching by every college in America! Just like the vaccine was mandatory to stay in school, watching this video should be mandatory to stay in school. If these brain-dead youths can see the horrors perpetrated by Hamas and still support them, then they are terrorists and should be arrested.

      Crawford in reply to jb4. | December 29, 2023 at 11:34 pm

In high school I made myself watch a documentary about the Holocaust that featured footage from the camps. I was never in danger of being a Jew-hater, but this made me swear “Never Again”.

Will it annoy the ‘rents? Then yes.

I’d look to the “international” students and the local progressive nutjobs.

Something to make Claudine Gay really proud.

I had enough information a long time ago to know that both members to terror organization and every F er who raised their children to aspire to this must be put down. Failure to eradicate these people will most certainly lead to future terror. Israel and Jews are not the only people at risk, every Western country is. Someone has to be an idiot not to the actual nature of Islam.

The same NY Times that ran an editorial by Hamas appointed mayor of Gaza City justifying all of this.

Despicable paper apologizing for despicable deeds. This article is not enough to make up for the rest of their coverage

henrybowman in reply to PrincetonAl. | December 28, 2023 at 10:36 pm

A favorite journalist of mine refers to them as the “Duranty/Streicher Media.”
See Walter Duranty, the man who idolized Joseph Stalin and lied about his crimes against humanity for the NYT, and got a Pulitzer for it. Another Pulitzer for NYT’s “Russia, Russia, Russia” coverage. NYT’s famous ridicule of Robert Goddard for working to develop rocket-based propulsion for spacecraft, saying he “seems to lack the knowledge ladled out daily in high schools… [that action/reaction systems] need to have something better than a vacuum against which to react.” The New York Times, consistently on the wrong side of every vindicated “conspiracy theory” of the past six decades.
They are a convocation of the incompetent, misinforming the unintelligent.

I recall the New York Slimes also idolized Fidel Castro when he seized power in 1959. What an absolute propaganda rag.

Perhaps this is proof that we need our outliers in our public discourse. The NYT faithfully follows whatever their chosen narrative may be. The only real consistency I see is that they follow the Democrat Party line at the national level, and stick to that form of overly conventional wisdom.

But America’s great strength is its Unconventional wisdom. You could call it “Yankee Ingenuity” or “American exceptionalism,” but it really boils down to a willingness to try out the ideas from inventors, whether in the hard or social sciences.

The COVID debacle is only our latest experience with following the advice of our “Best and the Brightest” in lieu of the people who make sense. Assuming for the moment that the modified RNA shots are as bad as candid researchers think they may be, we could have avoided most of the deaths from the pandemic, because our clever, hard-pressed clinicians cobbled together treatments from old drugs that worked. They did this quickly, too.

We could have used those drugs instead of ventilators and Remdesivir, and saved a lot of lives. We could have limited those experimental drugs to those most at risk.

We could have preserved the lives of a lot of children, athletes, and pilots.

This hindsight will eventually become conventional wisdom. Bill Gates has already acknowledges the shots did not live up to our expectations.

Our problem is to make sure that greedy, politically-connected unethical tyrants do not again have the power to decide who can talk, based on their own financial interests.

        JohnSmith100 in reply to Valerie. | December 29, 2023 at 2:29 pm

“shots did not live up to our expectations.” Understatement, if we had known that it was a ticking time bomb that would kill people for decades to come.

ahad haamoratsim in reply to PrincetonAl. | December 29, 2023 at 8:43 am

And what a wonderfully sanitized term “ pattern of gender-based violence” they selected to describe a deliberate sustained campaign of sadistic gang rapes against every woman and girl they could get their hands on, torturing and mutilating them, burning them, and eventually murdering them.

    JohnSmith100 in reply to PrincetonAl. | December 29, 2023 at 2:40 pm

When I see NYTs call for the death penalty for everyone complicit in these atrocities, then I might drop dead.

Apologizing? What apologizing? I just read the article. There is no apology there. Absolutely none.

Was this article published front page above the fold in the paper edition?

The authors point out on numerous times that “evidence” (semen, rape kits, etc.) was not collected and much is not “documented” / photographed. Is that going to be the “protesting” ghouls’ defense?

The reported interviews are utterly horrific.

As a rape crisis center person observes “The corpses tell the story.”

Crawford in reply to JAL. | December 29, 2023 at 11:41 pm

So their complaint is that an act of war/crime against humanity wasn’t treated with the same legal care as an individual rape? Do they realize the scale of the atrocities? The condition of the victims afterward?

They do this because, remember, “this is what decolonization looks like”. They’d make the same excuses if the same thing happened to Americans.

SpeakUpNow in reply to PrincetonAl. | December 29, 2023 at 3:38 pm

For our Muslins, especially Pales? I think some are salvageable, smarter higher skills people. I also think that Islam should be treated as a cult, it most certainly has the elements of a cult. Naturalization should be conditional on good behavior of the immigrant’s and their offspring’s behavior and vest at the end of the immigrants death, for them and their children.

It is a shame that developed countries need to how we do things in order to deal with the realities of Islam.

Its time to cut off the head of the beast…Iran.

They should make this part of any sentence for protestors, along with barf bags, and to watch all the way through, then be required to do an interview.

To think there are some that say it’s fabricated. True antisemites at heart.

If the plot is true, then we are in for much more misery. Something says there is gold in them thar Himalayans that is as valuable as Marcellus Wallace’s soul.

Hamas terrorists are savage subhumans.

Nazis mostly drank themselves to death after WWII. They knew what started it, and they were destroyed by what their actions or apathy did.
Palestinians, on the other hand, are calling their parents during a live stream to brag about who they raped and murdered. This may be an irredeemable culture.

    Arminius in reply to Mr85. | December 29, 2023 at 10:11 am

Nazis drank themselves into a stupor. Muslims brag themselves into believing their atrocities are, I don’t know. In a twisted way good.

    We’re supposed to be scared.

    JohnSmith100 in reply to Mr85. | December 29, 2023 at 11:52 am

Pales are useless, a culture which needs to be reset by a near extinction event.

    Crawford in reply to Mr85. | December 29, 2023 at 11:44 pm

The Einsatzgruppen drank themselves to sleep every night. Muslims hand out candy and call their parents bragging about killing and raping.

I don’t know what it will take, ladies. You want a bad boy 1980s style bat out of hell kind of guy, I’m it. Make me a sandwich, woman. But with me you have a safe word. The thing is deep down I love you. They hate you. They won’t treasure you. They will pound nails into you. They will hurt you and enjoy it.

I don’t understand. How can a man, if he’s a man, turn around and drive nails into the most intimate parts of the woman he just made love to? I know. I hate me for knowing. I lied.

ahad haamoratsim in reply to Arminius. | December 29, 2023 at 8:47 am

Love had nothing to do with it. If you substitute “brutally used against her will as a disposable object to gratify lust, with no intrinsic worth,” the answer becomes much more apparent.

MarkSmith in reply to Arminius. | December 29, 2023 at 9:05 am

It is about power and hate. They never learned what love is because God is missing.

    Dear God….

I’ve been raped, I was 21, had a butcher knife to my throat, held it with all my might, don’t know how I kept it from going in my throat, he was 6’2, all muscle…
I used my head to stay alive

    But made love?

    God, no f-king way…

Compared to these beautiful women, I got off easy with my wounds to my hands and the “love making”…

Arminius in reply to gonzotx. | December 29, 2023 at 6:57 pm

Ending the existence of the monsters and those who support them will discourage a repeat performance. That’s sufficient cause.

My care of Gaza is long gone before this article, Leave no 2 stones together for all I care.

Evil Otto in reply to Skip. | December 31, 2023 at 7:25 am

Same here. I have no pity left for the poor, unfortunate souls of Gaza. If Israel drove every single one of them into the desert and turned all of Gaza into a beach resort I’d shrug and go back to my corn flakes.

Rupert Smedley Hepplewhite | December 29, 2023 at 7:07 am

Don’t forget: this is what they want to do to us.

I find it incredible that Gaza has not been leveled. The Israelis were not given leaflets of an impending attack, nor humanitarian aid by their attackers, and so far non-combatants remain in custody. I see no reason to treat Gaza any different than Nazi Germany or military controlled Japan of WW II. Israel needs to continue until they conclude their long term safety is assured.

ahad haamoratsim in reply to kjon. | December 29, 2023 at 8:49 am

There is still some hope of recovering at least some of the hostages. When that hope is gone, I predict it’s going to be no more Mr. Nice Israeli.

But God forbid a republican congressman should be accused of groping an aide.

The videos, despite the spin offered by the NYT speak for themselves and demonstrate why Israel must eradicate Hamas in the same way that the Allies defeated the Nazis

I hate to point this out, but are you surprised? Why we continual to look away, this has been going on since history started. Question is what are we going to do about it. It is here in the US with millions coming over the border and normalizing inmoral act such as gender mutulation and abortion.

Sound of Freedom tells the story ; the organized sex trafficking makes human life disposable, just like Hamas does, just like abortion does. These are people that run NATO,Who, and NGO. Hunter Biden laptop tells the selfish story of hookers and drugs for self gratification. Humans are disposalable.

MoeHowardwasright | December 29, 2023 at 9:21 am

In you know why Gen Eisenhower insisted that journalists, politicians and others bear witness to the horrors of the Nazi death camps. Israel should not stop until there nothing but heaps of stones left in Gaza. Herd these scum into ships and send them to Iran. And if Iran gets frisky, well that’s why Israel has the weapons to smoke their asses too. FJB

Hey, Prof. Jacobson, how does it feel to describe the real obscenity, cruel murder, in ordinary english language? I get an icky, cold feeling up the back of my spine.

I’ve known for years what the Palestinian government has been promoting through its TV classes for children. Now those children are grown and their souls are ruined.

We are seeing in real time the consequences of heresy (the rejection of the principle “Love your neighbor” and blasphemy (the claim that Islam and Allah approve of these horrifying acts.). The monsters who committed these atrocities are not limited to Hamas or Palestine. We saw it with ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and Hezbollah in Lebanon..

As a consequence, no Muslim countries will take Palestinian refugees, because they bring horror wherever they go.

And, we have them here. Worse, we have wealthy donors and a major political party embracing them, en mass.

Abraham lost his argument with God over Soddom and Gomorah. The soft-hearted Jews should lose this one with more practical, civilized people.

You know the monsters must have known Israel would retaliate and hoped for the usual world support AGAINST Israel, I however wonder however what the real end game is in their plan
Is it Iran, which we know is either days from obtaining the bomb, eliminating Israel, or just exactly what?
They knew Biden was weak and compromised, did they think the other Arab countries would rise? Did they think hezbullah would join them?

What I still don’t understand is the 7-8 hour lag between the initial attack and Israel’s military arrival. Israel is not a large country.
That doesn’t make sense to me.

They had to recall members from leave, organize a plan, and make movements to staging areas.
No matter why, they were not expecting this level of attack. They were prepared for a low-intensity conflict, not for all-out war in Gaza. (And, a lot of forces are tied down against Lebanon and Syria. They had to shift to contingency units for some of that, I’m sure.)

gonzotx in reply to GWB. | December 29, 2023 at 10:34 am

It’s not what I thought of Israel’s military forces, I thought they always had columns ready to go on a moments notice, living for God sakes is right next to the monsters, really doesn’t make any sense to me to even live near there, those peacenik kibbutz‘s….
I know there has been a lull so to speak in actual attacks , but to this extent, just crazy to me

Crawford in reply to gonzotx. | December 29, 2023 at 11:53 pm

Iran is using the Palestinians to raise tensions in the Middle East. They hoped it would end negotiations between Israel and countries like Saudi Arabia — it hasn’t. So they started their drone and missile terror campaign from Yemen. That’s increasing shipping delays and shutting down one of the world’s primary shipping lanes.

Their end goal is to bring down the international economy. They believe they can survive it and come out as a world power.

a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7
Because it’s not real violence unless it’s “gender based” or “race based” or “QUEERTY based”.

The atrocities are important to know about (and are gruesome), but the NYT just can’t help but make it about “women and minorities hardest hit!”

“gender-based violence”?
So, why are there ANY women participating in these ‘pro-Palestinian’ demonstrations? Are they fixated on their victimhood and afraid to lose it?

Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING has changed in 237 years. These “Musselman” folks are not playing from the same deck as the rest of the world. Hate and violence in support of their “religion” is in their DNA.

Keep this letter. Share it with everyone. Send it to your newspaper(s).

We (modern society, in particular Western society, view the world through a very different set of eyes than the Musselman. ‘Twas ever thus.

Until—and unless—we understand that these people are violent fruitcakes and that the only thing they understand is total domination, there will never be peace in the Middle East … or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

The Chicoms and the Russkies are tough adversaries with their own agendas, but they are not insane. The Musslemans are crazy.

That is all … and, oh yes, Happly New Year!

There is no justification for a Palestinian State. Deport these Arabs to the Arab countries they come from.

My thoughts as a woman viewing this barbarism. The hatred shown has been cultivated within each person living in Gaza. They must be eliminated root and branch. There is no place on this earth for such people unless it is under it. They will never co-exist peacefully with any other group. A dog which attacks a person without provocation is put down. Why should it be any different for these people? Just because they are humans? Even worse as they have the capacity for rational thought. or should. I have zero, zero desire for anything for Gaza other than total destruction.
What is that saying: by their actions you shall know them? I would like to see these video reports shown to Congress as painful as it might be. I want to see the liberal woke leftists confronted publicly with proof of these atrocities and hear what they have to say.. I want every university to show these images and rip the snowflakes out of their little safe spaces and make them face reality.
I want above all someone with the guts to say NO to any talk of allowing anyone of muslim persuasion into the USA.
Or one day 7 Oct will happen in the US.

Look to Minneapolis (Northern Somalia) for the likely epicenter.

For a nightmare scenario, see the novel “Day of Wrath” by William Forstchen. And consider telling anyone you love to get out of Blue Hells and head to someplace that values human life enough to not punish its defense.

The New York Times didn’t care about the violence, but now that they ‘ve discovered that the violence is gender-based, they’re really pissed off.

Gaza was created by Arabs who could not kill enough Jews in the new UN-formed state of Israel in 1948, so fled. The Gazans voted to be ruled by Hamas in 2007 or so. Palestinians aka Gazans are all morally filthy. Islam is a brutal ideology, not a religion. We in the US are cowards not to face that.

Israel should give them no mercy, NYT stupidity/bias notwithstanding.

You know what I find sicker than this?

Israel hates its own people enough to not allow them to protect themselves.

This is the end ANY government has in mind for you when they will not allow you to defend yourself. Israel preaches one thing on the global stage but practices something quite different at home.

The deafening silence from the so called “feminists”.

So the new legal defense for mass rape and mutilation is claiming to be member of “oppressed” group?
