British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's plan to push for a no-deal Brexit suffered a setback today after the country's parliament passed a bill to delay the Brexit beyond October 31. The motion was voted by 327 votes to 299, giving it a majority of 28 in the Lower House. The bill has now moved to the Upper House.

This past week, Netflix released Dave Chapelle's newest stand up special, Sticks and Stones. The special immediately became controversial given Chapelle's crassness and indifference towards the left's sacred cows. He mocks the LGBTQ movement, castigates the #MeToo movement, called women b****es, mocked rape victims, used the homophobic slur f****t and dressed Jussie Smollett down.

The pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong continue against the wishes of those in charge. High school students began the school year in gas masks and joining hands to form human chains. College students held a strike, waved flags, and chanted protest slogans.
After a summer of demonstrating in the streets, outside municipal offices and in the airport, students refuted the government’s wishful assertion that once they returned to school the months of pro-democracy protests that have roiled the city would come to an end.

We have witnessed a lot of wailing and hand-wringing from #NeverTrumpers about the death of conservatism in the "age" of Trump.  Never mind that eight years is hardly an "age," and that's the maximum Trump can spend as president. You'd never know it from the "conservatives" who claim some higher set of principles . . . principles it seems that makes someone with all of Trump's personality flaws and none of his essential attributes (or even a socialist) a more attractive president than Orange Man Bad.

Over the past several months, Never Again Action (NAA), a purportedly spontaneous grassroots Jewish group, has burst into the public eye by staging and videotaping protests at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other government facilities across the country. But, as a joint investigation by the Legal Insurrection Foundation and the Washington Free Beacon has revealed, NAA is not what it purports to be. NAA is a repackaging of the same activists who organize with far-left, anti-Israel groups such as IfNotNow (INN), American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), and CodePink. There is every reason to believe that these obsessive anti-Israel activists have a hidden agenda: to insert themselves at the forefront of the immigration issue to hijack the movement and turn it against Israel, as has been done repeatedly since the Ferguson riots in 2014. NAA is not just astroturf, it's a deception.

A man scorned? It's hard to keep track of the scandals surrounding Rep. Ilhan Omar, but the most recent (alleged) affair is nasty and looks to be growing worse -- the one involving an alleged extra-marital affair between Rep. Omar and political consultant Tim Mynett.

Germany's Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has surged in the regional elections, winning a quarter of the vote in the eastern states of Saxony and Brandenburg. The party made huge gains in the former communist east, emerging strong second by getting 27.5 percent in Saxony and 23.5 in Brandenburg.

Hurricane Dorian, the second most powerful storm in recorded history to hit the region, has stalled over the Bahamas. As of Tuesday morning, the hurricane is still hovering around Grand Bahama Island. Eastern U.S. is bracing for impact.
Dorian brought gusts of 225mph and up to 30 inches of rainfall on Sunday, wrecked 13,000 homes, tore down power lines and left Grand Bahama International Airport in Freeport under five feet of water by Monday morning. Experts have also warned of a possible storm surge that could send destructive waves crashing into the coast.
