Anti-Israel representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, both of whom support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement (though they denied that while running for office), are planning a trip to Israel. BDS is widely recognized as anti-Semitic and subterfuge for the destruction of Israel. Both also credibly have been accused of making anti-Semitic statements themselves.

When I began covering the protests in Hong Kong, I noted that China had two options for dealing with the city-state's citizens and their demands for freedom and justice: Cooperation or crackdown. Clearly, the decision has been made.
Large numbers of Chinese paramilitary forces have been filmed assembling just 30km (18.6 miles) from Hong Kong in the city of Shenzhen, as riot police clashed with protesters occupying the airport for a second day.

Stacey Abrams, who has not yet admitted she lost the Georgia governor's race fair and square, has tried to remain relevant with the mainstream media more than happy to help. Abrams sat down with The New York Times to discuss her decision not to jump into the 2020 presidential race, but would not mind running as a vice presidential candidate for any of the Democratic candidates.

Tom Steyer, the west coast billionaire obsessed with impeaching President Donald Trump, recently announced his 2020 bid for president. To the shock of many, he has met the fundraising goal to appear in the next Democratic primary debate. Although he still has to meet the polling requirement, some people on the left believe he used his wealth to satisfy the donor threshold.

On January 7, 2007, Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23, were kidnapped, beaten, tortured, raped, and murdered in one of the most heart-wrenching and purely evil crimes in my memory.  The fifth person to be tried in relation to these heinous crimes was found guilty Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

California and a coalition of 21 other states have sued the Trump administration over the decision to rescind restrictions on coal-burning power plants. These restrictions played a crucial part in Obama’s climate change policy.
State Atty. Gen. Xavier Becerra said Trump’s effort to dismantle 2015’s Clean Power Plan undercuts efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and allows the Environmental Protection Agency to abandon its legal responsibility to crack down on air pollution.

It had been almost a decade since the U.S. Supreme Court took a major 2nd Amendment case, something Justice Clarence Thomas lamented in a dissent from the Court's refusal to hear an appeal from a 9th Circuit decision upholding California's 10-day waiting period even for those who already owned guns legally and had gone through the permitting and background check.
