If you're running for Senate in Texas, coastal celebrity support ain't gonna do jack to get you over the finish line. Nevertheless, Sarah Jessica Parker is the latest celebrity to publicly show support for Rep. Beto O'Rourke, the Democratic candidate running against incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz.

Following President Donald Trump's decision to no longer abide by the Iran nuclear deal, the U.S. ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, has urged the German businesses to stop trading with the Islamic Republic of Iran. "US sanctions will target critical sectors of Iran’s economy. German companies doing business in Iran should wind down operations immediately," Grenell tweeted on Tuesday.

It looks like the GOP escaped another potential Roy Moore fiasco in West Virginia after the convict and former coal CEO Don Blankeship lost the GOP Senate primary. With Blankenship's loss and wins in other states, the GOP may be poised to gain a few seats in the Senate.

An Ebola outbreak has been declared in the Democratic Republic of Congo after 17 people have succumbed to the virus.
The outbreak declaration was made after laboratory results confirmed two cases of Ebola out of a sample of five suspected patients, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.

In withdrawing from the Iran nuke deal, the U.S. did not breach a commitment of the United States. The Trump administration reversed a non-binding, ephemeral policy preference of Barack Obama, who refused to submit the deal as a Treaty under Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the Constitution. Had the nuke deal been a treaty, it would have been the supreme law of the land.

If you have not heard of Bias Response Teams, then you haven't been around campus in the last decade. These teams, often referred to at BRTs, are the equivalent of SWAT teams standing by to enforce campus speech and conduct codes. All of the problems we have documented with campus sexual assault kangaroo courts apply equally to BRTs - the teams enforce often vague standards highly dependent on how a complainant feels, there is an opaque process with little due process, and the results often track accepted campus political correctness rather than a search for the truth. Yet the punishments can cause lasting damage.
