The Washington Post has fallen almost as far as CNN. In a news analysis article, the paper tries to shift blame for James Hodgkinson's attempt to murder Republican congressmen on conservative talk radio. It's an established fact that Hodgkinson was a Bernie-loving, anti-Trump, Rachel Maddow "super fan," so wouldn't it make more sense to blame MSNBC?

The retail crisis continues as Sears and Kmart will close 43 additional stores. Numerous factors have contributed to stores closing, especially online shopping. But believe it or not, one market correspondent has used the situation to criticize President Donald Trump. However, CNNMoney even reported that Sears Holdings "has struggled to stay afloat as customers turn away from traditional brick-and-mortar stores to shop online."

Yeah, CNN threatened to out the guy who made the CNN wrestling meme. But the threat, according to CNN, was just some language that the legal suits stuck into the CNN statement. So if you complain about it, you're just part of a social-media "mob" that is falsely playing the victim. That was the argument made on Reliable Sources hosted by CNN's Brian Stelter. John Avlon of the Daily Beast, a CNN analyst, warned the media not to let the criticism "distract" them from the "real issue": President Trump's tweet of the wrestling GIF.

The Democratic Party is not only in disarray, but they seem to have no idea what to do to correct course. So far, the progressive wing seems to agree that it's best to push all the way left: to run on single-payer and "free" college, to establish a pro-abortion purity test, to curse at every public speaking opportunity, and to engage in unseemly and increasingly violent "resistance" efforts that insult the millions of Americans who voted for President Trump.

In dozens of posts we’ve highlighted how the anti-Zionist, non-Jewish group "Jewish Voice for Peace" (JVP) enables, legitimizes and mainstreams antisemitism by providing a seemingly Jewish cover for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) and similar movements. But JVP isn't merely an enabler of antisemitism. JVP also itself is a producer of anti-Jewish animus.

Bret Weinstein is a professor at Evergreen State College in Washington State who ran afoul of student and faculty social justice warriors when he objected to a proposal to have white leave campus for a day. Weinstein's reasonable and nuanced objection was met with confrontation, as we documented many times. See our Evergreen State College tag for all the posts, including these:

We previously wrote how the State of Hawaii (with co-plaintiff Dr. Ismail Elshikh) struck out in Hawaii federal court and in the 9th Circuit, in seeking "clarification" of how Trump's Travel Order No. 2 was to be implemented in light of the prior court injunctions and the Supreme Court's substantial overruling of those injunctions: The key problem identified by the court was the Hawaii's request for "clarification" was not proper. The District Court ruled that if Hawaii wanted clarification of a Supreme Court Order, it should seek such clarification from the Supreme Court:

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned everyone that the sexually-transmitted disease gonorrhea has emerged as a super bug since the bacteria has started to resist antibiotics. From CBS News:
"The bacteria that cause gonorrhea are particularly smart. Every time we use a new class of antibiotics to treat the infection, the bacteria evolve to resist them," Dr. Teodora Wi, a WHO medical officer specializing in reproductive health, said in a statement.

Since German Chancellor Angela Merkel embarked on her feckless and reckless refugee policy, Germany has encountered many problems with rising crime rates.  The latest serious problem is a gang of self-appointed "Sharia police" who are terrorizing women and gay people in Berlin. The International Business Times reports:
A gang of armed Chechen Muslims are terrorising women in Germany who do not adhere to their strict interpretation of the Quran. Reports suggest up to 100 men belong to the vigilante group, which 'punishes' Chechen women who are seen to behave immorally, including fraternising with non-Chechen men, smoking, drinking or visiting swimming pools.

Local officials are saying that 28 people were hurt in a shooting early Saturday after a dispute at a downtown Little Rock nightclub.
The city's police chief said officers suspect multiple people fired weapons but that the incident was not terror-related. Little Rock Police said on Twitter that 25 people suffered gunshot wounds and three had unrelated injuries. Police said all were expected to survive. Clubgoers between the ages of 16 and 35 suffered gunshot wounds, and three others had unrelated injuries. Two people were in critical condition Saturday afternoon, police said.
