Will Elizabeth Warren escape accountability for telling what at best were tall tales and at worst lies about her Cherokee heritage?

Will Warren get away with using her mystical heritage strategically to advance her career in a crafty way which provided her with (im)plausible deniability?

Will the use and abuse of the Cherokee...

Today seems to be a turning point in the Elizabeth Warren-Cherokee story.  Her shifting and implausible explanations have made her a laughing-stock, never good for any candidate.  Warren has lost the argument, and her credibility.

Her story about why she listed herself as a minority on a faculty directory — to meet other...

I admit it, I didn’t see this explanation coming.

Or maybe I did, I repeatedly have said “it doesn’t add up” as to why Elizabeth Warren claimed minority status on her law association self-reporting.

And it doesn’t:

Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, fending off questions about whether she used her Native American heritage to...

The Elizabeth Warren story is not about whether she is 1/32nd Cherokee.

Questions persist as to why Warren listed herself as Native American, a fact as to which she had no proof until yesterday, only in a publication almost exclusively used by other law professors and Deans during a time period in which she was climbing...

Democratic Senate Candidate Elizabeth Warren has been all over the newspapers the past several days after a revelation that Harvard Law School identified her as a Native American faculty member in the mid-1990s.  The claim to Native American status came as a shock to the media and the Scott Brown campaign.

Native American?

I doubt this will move many votes in the Massachusetts Senate race, but it does illustrate how pursuit of “diversity” in higher education can drive institutions to make rather implausible claims:

Elizabeth Warren’s avowed Native American heritage — which the candidate rarely if ever discusses on the campaign trail — was...

In early June 2009, long before Scott Brown would emerge as the 41st vote, and even longer before Brown would be challenged in the 2012 Senate race by Elizabeth Warren, Warren was the darling of the push for Obamacare.

Warren released  a study showing that over 60% of personal bankruptcy filings were...

Sign of trouble No. 1:  Warren is running to the left of Obama on gay marriage and portraying herself as heroic, apparently, per Greg Sargent (via Instapundit):

In an interesting move, Elizabeth Warren comes out and calls on the leader of the Democratic Party to complete his evolution on marriage equality….

An article at Boston Catholic Insider asserts that Mitt Romney lied during the Arizona debate about forcing Catholic Hospitals to provide the “morning after” pill to rape victims.

Here’s the debate passage (via Right Scoop):

Elizabeth Warren claimed to have provided the intellectual foundation for the Occupy movement, and of course, articulated one of the most pure redistributionist rationales which made her a hero of the Occupy movement.

But Warren has found a place she does not want Occupied, her employer Harvard University.

As reported by The Boston Herald:
