As I write this, Italy has 47,021 active cases of the Wuhan Coronavirus. 5,129 have recovered. 4,032 have died. That's 800 more than China (assuming their numbers are correct), and the number is certain to grow.

Democrat presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson gave a debate performance for the ages with her loopy, New Agey ramblings. Apparently, it worked on Granite State Democrat primary voters because she is ahead of Sen. Cory Booker (NJ), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), and Robert "Beto" O'Rourke (TX) in New Hampshire polls. Her campaign website contains a seemingly endless wishlist of progressive/socialist/communist agenda items. She's pro-"gun safety," pro-amnesty (including citizenship), pro-automatic voter registration (with 16 as the new voting age), pro-Green New Deal, and pro-Medicare for All.

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, German Chancellor Angela Merkel's successor, has come under fire for make a joke about gender-neutral bathrooms. Her remark was in response to a campaign waged by the left-wing Green Party to introduce gender-neutral bathrooms in official builds in the state of Berlin. She said the third-gender toilets were for "men who cannot decide if they want to sit or stand when they pee" on a carnival-themed TV show.

Last week at Columbia University, the school's Asian American Alliance held a fundraising event called "CultureSHOCK:Reclaim" and invited comedian and SNL alum Nimesh Patel to perform. Halfway through his performance, student organizers walked on stage, took his microphone and told him to wrap it up.

The long-running animated comedy series 'The Simpsons' is preparing to drop the character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, the Indian-American owner of the 'Kwik-E-Mart' due to political correctness. This became an issue when comedian Hari Kondabolu made a documentary film called "The Problem With Apu" which was released last year.
