The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) have a proposal to return to the classroom for the first time since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CTU insisted the two sides still need "a formal agreement." They consider the proposal a "framework that all of our members must first review and assess."

Before Joe Biden even took office, DHS reported a surge in illegal border crossings in anticipation of his presidency.  Since taking office, Biden has been busily undoing President Trump's border and illegal immigration policy, effectively opening our borders in the midst of a global pandemic.

Since my last report on the nonpartisan 'Recall Newsom' petition effort, signature gatherers have collected 100,000 more names for a total of 1.4 million and are rapidly closing in on the 1.5 million signature level needed to get the recall on the ballot.

It's weird how reality changes when the media's favorite presidential candidate takes office. The Democrats and media "forget" that the $600 checks were approved under President Donald Trump's administration. They "forget" that President Joe Biden promised $2,000 checks on the campaign trail. But since $1400 + $600 = $2000 the leftists are willing to "forget" that little detail.

Since the beginning of the pandemic and the associated lockdowns, thousands of New York residents have been unable to pay their rent. One New York Democrat, State Senator Michael Gianaris, urged Andrew Cuomo to pick up the bill. You knew this was coming, didn't you?

To the shock of no one, President Joe Biden and the CDC skirted around his declaration of requiring masks on planes, trains, and federal property. Another order quietly came about on January 28th, which mentioned compliance "consistent with CDC guidelines and applicable law." So those who thought Biden would go farther were right. He just did it through the CDC, which requires masks in all modes of transportation. It went into effect this week.

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) called for a two-day break after officials pulled off one agreement. Students K-8th grade have not attended in-person class since March 2020 due to COVID-19. CPS wanted to open schools in January, but the union has made it difficult by insisting officials have not met any demands.
