New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey dropped the bombshell on Harvey Weinstein two years ago with a scathing article filled with accusations from actresses. They described horrific alleged sexual misconduct by the once-powerful movie producer, which led to the #MeToo movement. Kantor and Twohey detailed their investigation in a new book called She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement. One shocking detail came to light in the book. Victim rights attorney Lisa Bloom, the daughter of Gloria Allred, sided with Weinstein. She offered to help him ruin the reputations of the women who accused him of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and rape.

Former political journalist Mark Halperin fell from grace in 2017 after numerous women accused him of sexual misconduct and harassment. Politico reported this weekend that Halperin has a new book coming out soon about how to beat President Donald Trump. The women who accused him of misconduct not only lashed out at the publishing company, but the Democratic strategists who helped him.

It's been three days since Jeffrey Epstein reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself using a bedsheet in his jail cell. We are now learning more about what he told people in his final months. New York Times columnist James Stewart penned a disturbing piece for the paper Monday about the last interview he did with Epstein a year ago. Stewart wanted to talk about rumors he'd heard that Epstein was advising Tesla's Elon Musk. Musk's reps deny Epstein advised him in any capacity.

Sometimes there are incredible stories that come out, that when you see them you think, "Did that person really say that?" Such was the case for me Friday when I read the news that embattled Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D) told reporters he was seriously considering a 2021 gubernatorial run—because the two sexual assault allegations leveled against him earlier this year had raised his profile.

Vanessa Tyson and Meredith Watson, the two women who have accused Democrat Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault and rape, sat down with Gayle King for CBS This Morning to provide details of the incidents. Tyson demanded an investigation from the Virginia legislature while Watson reminded people that she has nothing to gain by coming forward.

The Washington Examiner reported Monday night that Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand kept a man on her payroll three months after he resigned in 2017 due to a sexual harassment claim against him. This happened a year before one aide resigned due to Gillibrand mishandling her sexual harassment claim against another top aide. Gillibrand also kept that aide on her payroll.

George Pell, an Australian cardinal who was once the third-highest ranking Vatican official, was sentenced to six years in prison for molesting 2 choirboys in 1996.
The cardinal was convicted on five counts in December, making him the most senior Catholic official — and the first bishop — to be found guilty in a criminal court for sexually abusing minors, according to BishopAccountability.org, which tracks cases of sexual abuse by Catholic clergy.

Sen. Kristin Gillibrand (D-NY), one of the many running for the Democrat nomination for president, has championed herself as a top supporter of the #MeToo movement. But now Politico reported that an aide within Gillibrand's office resigned last summer due to the handling of her sexual harassment complaint against Abbas Malik, one of Gillabrand's top aides.

Meredith Watson, the second woman who accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of rape, lashed at out the politician and those who have not called for a public hearing into the accusations in The Washington Post. Watson has accused Fairfax of raping her in 2000 when both of them attended Duke University. She wrote that she came out in an effort to support Professor Vanessa Tyson, the first woman who accused Fairfax of sexual assault:
Despite the professed belief of numerous elected officials in Virginia and elsewhere that Vanessa Tyson, who says that Fairfax sexually assaulted her in 2004, and I have brought forward credible allegations, the Virginia General Assembly has not taken the simple and responsible step of arranging the thorough public hearing that we have sought.

A woman named Meredith Watson has come forward and accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of raping her in 2000 when both attended Duke University. This comes days after Professor Vanessa Tyson claimed Fairfax sexually assaulted her in 2004 at the DNC Convention.

Professor Vanessa Tyson, the woman who has accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault, released a statement yesterday with precise details about what happened that night in 2004. In the statement, she wrote how she reached out to people in Virginia in 2017 when she realized Fairfax planned to run for office. Democratic Rep. Bobby Scott is one of those men. Why is he just now letting this out?

Vanessa Tyson has accused Virginia Lt. Gov Justin Fairfax. After days of only hearing from Fairfax and people attempting to brush aside her claims, Tyson has come forward with her own statement:
What began as consensual kissing quickly turned into a sexual assault. Mr. Fairfax put his hand behind my neck and forcefully pushed my head towards his crotch. Only then did I realize that he had unbuckled his belt, unzipped his pants, and taken out his penis. He then forced his penis into my mouth. Utterly shocked and terrified, I tried to move my head away, but could not because his hand was holding down my neck and he was much stronger than me. As I cried and gagged, Mr. Fairfax forced me to perform oral sex on him. I cannot believe, given my obvious distress, that Mr. Fairfax thought this forced sexual act was consensual. To be very clear, I did not want to engage in oral sex with Mr. Fairfax and I never gave any form of consent. Quite the opposite. I consciously avoided Mr. Fairfax for the remainder of the Convention and I never spoke to him again.
